Teacher Resigns Amid Investigation Into Anti-Catholic Pamphlets

A North Texas teacher quit Monday after her school district began researching complaints that she was giving students anti-Catholic pamphlets.

Sergio Velazquez, 13, says his faith was tested last week.

“When we were in our classes she would give it to us,” says Sergio.

He said his teacher, Marsha McDonald, gave him an anti-Catholic pamphlet. The eighth-grade teacher handed it to him in his English class at Mineral Wells Junior High, he said.

1. An AOG church came to my rural community a couple

of years ago. They came here at the request of a local couple.

They are a stealth AOG church, not admitting their affiliation unless pressed to do so.

They have now built a monstrosity of a church, and are poaching on all the other churches in town. They guilt trip children into joining, and behave in a very pushy manner, forcing their way into all sorts of existing community programs. They act like a cult.

This group is a cancer on our community.

2. My Catholic relatives still don't get this.

They still think Bachmann, Perry, Palin, bush, etc. are all just good, moral Christians. They forget the outrage among fanatical evangelicals that a Catholic was elected president in 1960, yet share the outrage that a black man was elected in 2008.

that were sure they were going to read about nasty militant atheists. Most SCOTUS cases on religion are the result of one bitching about the other.
