Question for any who might know, please.
If someone keeps referring to "The Kingdom" and refers to themselves as a "Kingdom woman" and believes the rapture is coming very soon, is there any particular denomination they might belong to?

I wish I would have asked her because it's been bugging me ever since then.

I was wondering if that phrase "Kingdom" is associated with Dominionism or any other cult-like organization.

3. Thanks - well, dominionists want to take over the entire world and

create a Christian kingdom on earth. They want to force the entire earth to adhere to their extremely strict interpretation of Christianity which is one of the most brutal I've ever seen. They are working on infiltrating government at every level, etc.

There are some who believe Sarah Palin is a dominionist.

7. A group of insane people who will use any means necessary to convert
others, including force, and who create a dystopian hell for their followers, except for top leaders.

13. Your description seems to fit the Dominionists well,
but a cult is simply any new religious movement. They are usually a hybrid of various religions (Discordianism, New Age), an old religion with new revelations (Mormonism), or a brand new thing (Scientology).

Most cults are harmless for the members and for society.

14. Oh, okay, I didn't know that! I thought a cult was just...like Jim Jones and
the poor followers who drank the Kool-aid.

12. Like a Christian Taliban, for real. Convert or be killed. No dissent allowed.
and a very brutal kind of Old Testament law that might be even more brutal than Sharia law.

18. That's a good possibility.
Sarah Palin has been a member of some of these flaky groups who have all sorts of violent fantasies about the end-times. A while back, I read about some preacher laying his hands on Sarah and pronouncing her to be a prophetess, or some such nonsense. I'm going to be a Kingdom Man. Y'all can call me Sir Lancelover.

23. That's a project of the Southern Baptists. They're overall quite rightwing and probably many
believe in the rapture, but I doubt if they've set a definite date

11. LOL. They are basically Baptist (I think) at that link you provided
(thank you for the link) and I think the woman I talked with was a little too nutty to be just Baptist. But maybe not.

20. There are too many possibilities:

Here's a Church of Scotland group:
Kingdom Women

Here's an Irish group, interested in "social responsibility, justice, community and the environment"
Kingdom Women West
http://www.newwineireland.org/index.php/Events/comments/kingdom_women_west

Here's a Saudi group, probably not even Christian

"Redeemed Christian Church of God" is a Nigerian-based church
Here's a Texas branch:

Here's a Georgia group, probably unaffiliated:

and so on and so on

22. Oh, thanks. I just thought maybe it was something kind of dark because she
wanted to move to the wildnerness this year to be ready for Jesus to return because he was coming back this year for sure.
