44. I have a suggestion for these folks at that church there in Ohio.

Instead of shelling out huge bucks to build another Touchdown Jesus, convert the center of the building behind where it stood to an empty corridor with a tall glass front.

At the pond-edge of the building on the inside buy a statue of Jesus -- not a Touchdown Jesus, but the ordinary dashboard-magnet-looking Jesus, say 5 or 6 feet tall -- and set it a few feet from the glass on a platform that goes a third or so high up the glass wall.

Put a light behind the statue shining up at it. Retain the pool out front.

The effect at night would be a large image of Jesus, his reflection cast over the surface of the pool.

The old statue looked ridiculous. They need to regroup on this one.
