Is there any way to access Jehovah's Witness periodicals online?
Specifically, I'm thinking of the Watchtower and Awake! magazines.

If there's no way to access them online, then could someone (who has access to physical copies of recent issues) post in this thread some excerpts within the limits provided by fair use provisions of copyright law? It might be interesting to analyze their reasoning.

The Watchtower is published in 183 languages and Awake! in 81 languages.

1. Just open your front door and look up and down your block
There's bound to be a group of watchtower people somewhere within sight. They always are.

2. They are little comic books with drawings of crowds fleeing
rocks falling out of the sky & stuff like that. Never thought to look them up on line.

3. There used to be a website called Quotes.Watchtower.ca

which was shut down by the JW lawyers.

I firmly believe that if anyone had enough money, they could win a fight to publish any amount of Watchtower literature online, since the WT gives it away free and advertises it as free and open to everyone. But especially a website like the one listed above, as this website was very plainly doing criticism and comparisons of relatively small snippets from their publications. In other words, very fair use.

The truth is, they don't want people looking too closely at what they say vs what they've said.

Here is a site that also has many of their quotes (in fact, it may be a mirror or use all the same research as the site listed in my title): http://www.quotes-watchtower.co.uk/

Enjoy your foray into stunningly Orwellian logic.
