Jerome Kern Back From Dead - Will Run Playboy Empire

NEW YORK (AP) -- Playboy Enterprises says Christie Hefner, the daughter of founder Hugh Hefner, is stepping down as chairman and chief executive.

Playboy Enterprises Inc. has named Director Jerome Kern to serve as interim non-executive chairman while it looks for a replacement.

I doubt it, but it would be nice.

Playboy Magazine and its associated holdings is a product of the James Bond generation. The American Hedonist, illustrated. That is all fine and good, but they need to modernize. Keep the philosophy, but put Hef and the Playboy Mansion way back in the background. Feature the up and coming topless starlets and be the princessmaker they used to be.
