Has anyone else read this? It is subtitled Joh Wilkes Booth and the Lincoln Conspiracies.

I think it is a very good examination of the conspiracy. It appears that Booth was the mastermind behind the assassination of Lincoln and the attack on Secretary of State Seward. It also backfired on him completely byt turning Lincoln (who was not all that popular at the time) into a martyr.

I recommend it- it clears up a lot of the crazier conspiracy theories (such as the one that had Secretary of War Stanton as the head conspirator) and also shows that there was no real ties between Booth and the Confederacy.
