Hi all,

As much as it is well known that I was not a big fan of the endless waste of time that is the cybernet conjecture on DU, BBV, etc., I am concerned that a thread disappeared. Has anyonw written admin?

I know at BBV the cybernet threads were locked because the assertions are so baseless as to be defamatory in their reckless disregard for the truth. The moderator that locked it did say saying that it would take him literally hours to clean up all the nonsense in the thread. He reminded BBV writer to not make accusations that can't be back up.

I am all for seeing the thread reappear, if in theory it need be only cleaned up to save DU from potential lawsuit, but would urge a healthy level of skepticism in the claims made and urge the forum particpants to really aim strong at advancing the data rather than rehashing the nonsense (and I mean nonsense in the most respectful way I can use the term).

The cybernet posts got so bad a couple of us made a satire thread mocking the lack of logical progression in the posts. We all need a good laugh sometimes. Anyone who saw how bad it got (and still is to a certain degree) on this topic in the BBV forum would understand why some of us believe that this topic is used to bring out the best tin-foil caps we could possibly don.
