Anyone think maybe they just LET us win this time?
Interested in hearing any conspiracy theories about why the masters of the machines may have let the Dems win this round. If you believe the one about the software being "calibrated" to ensure a Repub victory before the Foley scandal came out, what about the possibility that they just let us win this round?

Why you may ask? What could happen?

How about a Constitutional Crisis when Shrub's people start ignoring the will of the Dem Congress? That would never occur on the Pukes' watch because they went along with everything the Bushies did. Who would be the winner of THAT contest?

Any other theories?

1. No, the stink of a corrupt election is too widespread
From the robocalls that were clearly illegal to the 18,000 deleted votes in Sarasota County to the sheer nastiness of the mudslinging, I can only conclude that they meant to hang onto power.

That we took Congress despite the usual 4% vote flip is nothing short of miraculous.

Trust me, the racketeers known as the GOP do NOT want investigations.

3. Oh, please.
No. We won, fair and square, and despite their various attempts to steal it.

5. It's been troubling me, too.
Did Repugs

-Try to switch votes but fail altogether?

-STeal some votes, but not enough to turn the anti-GOP tide?

-Switch some votes and/or did some non-electronic dirty tricks but kept a low profile because of scrutiny?

-Lose key media allies, without whose Ignore Policy 2004 would have been universally acknowledged as stolen?

-Let the midterms go because it's the Executive they value most?

-Never have the ability to switch votes, and "won" only through other illegal actions, like lies, intimidation, name purges, machine allocation, etc? This is the dangerous one. Never forget the statistically impossible jumps in * votes, the terrorism threat on at the Warren Cty, OH BoE on election night, the 99% pro-* "glitches," the media obfuscation, the still-not-released raw data, the sabotage of the Ohio recount.... Whatever voting machine tampering the GOP orchestrated, I suspect it was deliberately limited to undermine the credibility of election watchdogs in 2008. They showed uncharacteristic restraint, but really what harm can they suffer from a 49-49-2 balance in the Senate for just 2 years? I'm thinking that aggressive and meaningful Election Reform is the most important legislative action we can pursue.

7. Lets say, I'm a Dem and your a Republican Politician , we both know
that elections have been predetermined for over thirty years, we have successfully hidden that from the people. Fast forward to 1997-ish, We believe we have technology so that we can start to predetermine the elections at a local level, and the people still won't be able figure it out.

The problem is, The INTERNET is spreading across the country faster than we can get the secret vote counting machines in place, we need to find a way to get them machines in place at the local level in a hurry, HAVA a voting machine for free its on me, money from the taxpayer which was turned over to the vote counting machine companies VIA the Democrat and Republican Politicians or You and I.

Then we realize that on the INTERNET the people are crunching numbers, figuring out what we are doing, with our new and improved machines, they are also getting the word out to other people (and the right people) at the speed of sound. What do we do?

Well I'm glad you asked, your guy * can't get his approval ratings up, you Republicans can't stay out of trouble, the people are closing in on our vote scam, and they aren't buying into our 2% audit illusion fix it scam.

We decide it is a good time to give the majority a win, in the process we rig a few machines so that the Republican People, have a little something to feel good about.

We do this in the hopes it will take the focus off the electronic vote counting machines, that we need to move across the country.

So I think "they" the Politicians, made it happen the way it happened.

My 4 cents........
