(CNSNews.com) - A Florida Democrat says he won't concede defeat in his race to unseat Republican Rep. Tom Feeney "until every vote is actually counted."

Clint Curtis said he is considering a legal challenge to the election results: "In this election, the results did not match the Zogby pre-election poll, our internal VoteNow2006.net polling, or our exit polling," Curtis explained.

"These anomalies need to be investigated and cleared up, not just in my race but for every district where the count just doesn't add up."

...Who here would advocate throwing him in jail?

21. Given current election process, good exit polls are surely more reliable than official results
What efforts are being made to check when exit polls don't closely match official results?

Diebold Accuvote machines apparently had high undervotes and very unusal patterns in several races.

But the result in Orange Co. are also strange, since Orange is a majority Dem county, and the trend in Dem areas was clearly towards Dems, espcially where there was a strong candidate running who had a good issue that involved corruption concerns that the voters according to polls were very concerned about. But undervotes were not unusal in Orange, any problems there would be something else. Since the majority in Orange are Dems and independents, I have a hard time believing that many of them would have voted for Feeney who has alleged to have been involve in corrupt practices. I believe Curtis took a lie detector test, challenged Feeney to, and Feeney declined.

There were lots of problems, manipulations in areas of Orange in 2004

Simiarly Volusia has strong majority of Dems & independents and I would not have expected as many of them to vote for Feeney. the results look pretty strange to me, but I'm not in that area and haven't heard from people there whether the surprising outcome is plausible.

likewise in Osceola Co.
which had lots of manipulations in 2004. As did volusia

His hacker crony went before Congress and testified about his hacking the vote that got him in there.

22. He's in a district that was gerymandered Repub for Feeney- past House Speaker
So he had a long way to go. Volusia has been trending towards Dem, but Orange is the strange result here
Orange Co. has 42,000 more Dems than Repubs and an additional 30,000 Independents
Strange they would vote for an encumbent with a long reputation of corruption, special interest in a year when that was important. Very strange result. Did the Dems do a bad job on GOTV?

County Tom Feeney (REP) Clint Curtis (DEM)
Brevard 27,303 18,036
Orange 30,214 21,263
Seminole 34,092 20,748
Volusia 31,961 29,634
Total 123,570 89,681
% Votes 57.9% 42.1%

candidates who were taken by surprise by the fraud. Because of his software expertise, maybe Clint has been keeping score. This is great. I was hoping he would win, maybe he did!

What about polls for the Phillis Busansky /Billirakis Cong. Dist 9 race?
Many thought Busansky would win that one, and I'd heard polls put it close.

20. Rather than worrying, this time of year more should be out auditing
There was a lot of problems out there all over the U.S. and the system won't work right until some light is shined
on the morass. There are a lot of things that people can do to help; a major effort should be anticipated for all close races to audit the results until transparent, auditable processes are in effect.

People should be checking SOE results for all close races for overvotes and undervotes. And auditing precinct data in their precinct to make sure the number signing into the log books matches the official results.
And absentee ballot manipulation has been endemic in recent years, always need to be closely monitored.

see the close race thread for info on auditing your close races:

25. Stop the bullshit already, for christ sake we know the Politicians
D&R are able to manipulate the elections, its up to a few of the responsible ones to admit it, get rid of corporate vote counting machines and then move the country forward in a positive direction, Its that simple.
