OMG - FOX NEWS Demonstrates Princeton/Diebold Story
FOX NEWS exposes the Princeton / Diebold story

Imagine my shock to find out today that none other than FOX News had Professor Ed Felten & his team actually demonstrating their study to their right-wing audience!!!

1. To foster the perception it would explain how Democrats might win in Nov?
Could they possibly be setting up a faux Dem to try and pull it off in some district to label the Dems as the ones who have used the vulnerability against GOPs? Setting themselves up as the victims in 2006 to ASSURE they maintain WH in 2008?

2. There would be that little problem of Diebold being brought on board
by Rethuglican Secretaries of State. How to explain that anomaly, if they want to smear the Dems?

4. heh - never underestimate these thugs - they know the media will accept
and promote their storyline while the fact that GOPs have been in control of the machines for years will be a minor issue in the overall perception. They know how to get media to MAGNIFY a minor issue involving Dems and minimize an ENORMOUS criminal act by the GOPs.

5. That is my first thought and
my last thought. Somehow they will become the victims of voting fraud. Somehow. This is the big one, they need this and we are looking to gain a little control. That can't be allowed. Why else would this finally be coming to the forefront of the news now after all these years?

6. No surprise - we belong to the group of Americans who know that it's safe
to assume the worst from BushInc because eventually history always proves we were right at least 95% of the time. And in some cases we didn't even think worst enough.

3. I didn't see it, but it doesn't surprise me.
Paranoia about losing control of the political process is clearly a fear that can be felt by both sides.

7. But that's good, isn't it?
Don't we want everyone to take voting security seriously? How can people complain that the issue is being ignored by the MSM, then complain when it isn't?

It doesn't matter whether Republicans are worried that Dems will rig the vote or the other way round. In fact it's a good thing if both sides worry about the other side. That's the principle of "I cut, you choose".

Seems like good news to me.

8. Don't ya think FOX would be more likely to be stirring the pot? I mean
speculation on diebold is a wedgie between mods and the left. You see it as you see Bush..either very, very dangerous or just very dangerous.

Creates apathy too.

14. We *can't* be concerned about the integrity of election systems, because
if we point out the problems of the current system and really push for legitimate elections systems, PEOPLE MIGHT GET APATHETIC AND NOT VOTE....

Say what?

And the obverse: If we don't talk about the problems in the election system at all, that's good because more people will vote?

Can we at least agree that the incentives here are really wacky?

17. I'm just saying.. look at which network RAN with the story. And have a hm
mmm? moment. Are we aloud to be cynical? In times like these it is normal to be that way.

:hi:

11. I didn't see Fox News's report but, one trick they play is...
they can ensure that a story is covered on TV earlier rather than at a more damaging time, ie closer to the election. However they didn't need to invite Prof. Felten on to do that. Is the Fox on-air demo viewable anywhere?

15. You don't mean, kster
do you, that this demonstration was bullshit? It looked pretty convincing to me!

You've been demanding - rightly - for sometime that the fact that we can't see the votes being counted should be shown on TV.

This is exactly what Fox just showed. It showed votes being cast, counted invisibly and the count failing to match the votes that the demonstrators had clearly cast.

ON NATIONAL TV.

What's bullshit about that? I think it's fantastic. How many million viewers does Fox have?

16. Posted in wrong thread, but Fox is still
SOBs and should be treated as such, we can't jump up and down because they gave us a 2 minute sound bite on the vote stealing machine, screw them.

It would be as if there was a major car theft ring in the United States and Fox never reported any thing about the thefts, but went ahead and showed people how the thiefs get into your car.

OOOOOh big time reporting, Thanks Fox.

We know more about Clintons penis than we know about these secret vote counting machines, What a great use of OUR airwaves.

Thanks Fox
