And your energy -- you can post up a storm! You seem to be holding your own with the anti-illegal immigrant crowd. I'm one of that crowd, but no one would ever accuse me of being a xenophobe (it's for anti-big corporation reasons and fairness to immigrants who had to wait to go the legal track, like my sister-in-law and friends.) Democracy is all about differences of opinions and our freedom to express them. Don't leave -- keep educating us.

At least you're not leaving for good. (I hope) The rest of us can work to get the focus back where it belongs, per Plaid adder's post on how the big money guys are creating the problems. And when you're feeling better, you can as well.

I suspect there are a good number of deep cover folks around here causing problems, but I know that's not all of it.

I'm sorry for all the bad feelings that have been stirred up, and I understand why you're taking a break, being insulted and disappointed on such a deep level, and some of the fearful and one-dimensional views on the issue can be very disturbing. It's as though folks are finally losing hold of their senses after 6 years of wretchedness. I won't discount the part racism plays for some, as I know full well being a Dem does not preclude that.

But I want to say how much I hope you are back soon: Very, very much indeed.

You are unique, sharp, energetic, warm & funny. You work hard, and your knowledge is wide-ranging. I'll miss seeing you in every forum I stumble into, you're all over the board, and I was always happy to see you there!
