Listen Online 1/1/06, GuvWurld, Mark Crispin Miller on KPFT
Houston's award winning Pacifica station is www.kpft.org . Visit the site and listen online, especially New Year's Day at 4pm PT when host Pokey Anderson (profile) will be interviewing me on her show Sunday Monitor. We will be discussing the impending demise of Diebold and how the election integrity community is working to euthanize this corporate person who has outlived usefulness to democracy and society. For more on the organized resistance visit the GuvWurld Blog.

Also scheduled to be on the show is Mark Crispin Miller (blog), author of such books as: Fooled Again: How the Right Stole the 2004 Election & Why They'll Steal The Next One Too," "Boxed In: The Culture of TV," "The Bush Dyslexicon: Observations on a National Disorder," and "Cruel and Unusual: Bush/Cheney's New World Order."

For the happy, safe and peaceful new year, remember to keep your mind open, the future's coming.

9. It ended 15 minutes ago but it is already archived
You can hear the whole hour by downloading this .mp3:

http://archive.kpft.org/mp3/060101_180001monitor.MP3

I am going to excerpt out just my part and put it in the GuvWurld News Archive. I'll post when that is done.

11. Excellent interview!
I really appreciate your approach to investigating problems locally. There has been almost NO personal accountability in this mess.
The voting machines aren't plotting against voters -- it's the people who design, program and purchase them -- and legislate in favor of them.

IMO, personal accountability will be a major key in stopping this epidemic fraud.

I hope to hear and read more interviews with you in the future.

(Too bad about all of the audio interference. Especially during your discussion of "interpreter code". It was completely absent during other parts of the broadcast. Wonder what was causing it...)

12. Thanks.
I appreciate the feedback and encouragement. Your synopsis is accurate, and tightens the framing of how I've been presenting my stuff. I will use that "personal accountability." Thank you.

I too hear the noise on the .mp3 though I did not hear it while I was on the air. I have no idea where it was coming from.

14. I had little internet access in 2000,
so I really didnt read much about what had happened in Florida back then.

My first real clue into machine fraud came from a tiny article in an ANG newspaper about the 2002 Gubernatorial election in Alabama. The Dem incumbent was enjoying a comfortable lead. After the poll workers went home, sometime after midnight, the results changed completely, putting the repug candidate in the lead. A repug-appointed judge owed it all up to a computer glitch. I read later that the Dem couldnt afford to pursue it any further legally, and conceded the race.

After that, I heard about the mess in Georgia, etc. ad nauseam.

Every single time that a voting machine problem was obvious, that problem was blamed on the machines themselves. Counting backwards, not recording any votes, flipping votes . These were all attributed to Computer glitches.

A computer cannot be held accountable. It can not be put on trial and incarcerated. Neither can a corporation.
... So much for corporate personhood.

People are responsible for these frauds. (Another reason to push for hand counting.) And those people must be held accountable.

16. Thanks Wilms. Want to be my publicity agent?
Seriously, lately I've been recruiting people into specific projects or roles. Everybody wants to do something, and lots of people feel like they don't know what to do. Contact me if you need an assignment. We'll find one that's just right for your interests and skills. So if not Wilms, maybe somebody else would like to help me get more media interviews? If so, please PM me.

Meanwhile, here is a link to the KPFT interview (.mp3), archived at GuvWurld.org, and edited down to just my segment (with the background noise greatly reduced!).
