We had a "Stolen Election meeting" in K.C. at Public Library
Yes, at a Public Library, this evening dissent was alive and people came out. This meeting was not publicized except if you looked on the "local action" on United for Peace and Justice website.

About 60 or 70 people crammed into a small meeting room. I couldn't get there for the first 45 minutes, but I guess things were so heated that it took that long for people to calm down, state their points without talking over each other.

I have sent quite a few people to this site. It was interesting to see the public talking openly about this. Those that don't blog or use the forums feel like it was stolen but don't have access to facts like we do here. There were several people who were extremely well informed and we eventually started to make some preparations.

They will be coming here because I think this is one of the best collections of info, links to info and links to e-mail addresses, which we plan to hit on a large scale.

Any of those doubters here that thought it was just us on the forums should take comfort that this was a vast cross representation of America there tonight. All ages, genders, races. Even a Scottish woman who jokingly called us "Yanks" Take heart people and get your city rolling. We will be donating to BBV and Help America Count and getting the word out.

1. a similar story
The university where I teach sponsored "The Corporation" and a discussion afterward. It was open to the community and I think they sent notices to a few newspapers. I was surprised at how many people from the community came out. There were some very well informed people there who know full well what is going on in this country and who want to do what they can to stop the encroaching fascism.

There will be future discussion groups, too, and these people seemed committing to working toward taking back our country.

2. I love to hear this
Yes, these people openly discussed and used the word fascism.
I truly hope this is happening all over the country. I signed the Nov. 3rd pledge in order to do just that and even MoveOn who I worked with has been silent.
