Dean's election criticism too generic? Long lines for working people.
How about saying that Ohio's Blackwell had month's to prepare for an election that everyone knew would have a huge turnout. And that there is no excuse for anybody to wait in long lines. It's just plain fraud!

1. Say that to the people that had to wait for 12 hours in the cold Nov. rain
The machines didn't steal the election in Ohio, the lines did.

Dean pointing this out is a great criticism, cause it the easiest one to prove.

3. It's a great starter....
But Dean needs to stress and put into the foreground, the thousands of reported Kerry to Bush vote switches, the ballot tabulator fraud using affixed stickers, the resident fundamentalist BOE members ordered to change voting registrations (done through computer) and of course the infamous Triad scandal.

If he does that, it will create a much wider stir.

4. I Wholeheartedly Concur
I'm a staunch Kerry supporter and agree with you fully. My guess is that Kerry has put the word out to remain relatively low-profile on Blackwell until some of the lawsuits are settled and some of the official reports issued.

It shouldn't be that way:

2. welcome to DU!
:hi:

Have you gone to the 2004 Election/Discussion Forum?

Take a look at this Report from John Coyners and the Democratic Judicial Committee http://election04.ssrc.org/research/preserving_democracy.pdf

(This was just published! With a forward from Gore Vidal. It's been available on-line since January)

and look at the Articles in the FreePress http://www.freepress.org/index2.php

They have a book just published over 700 pages long (includes the above mentioned report).Did George W. Bush Steal America's 2004 Election? Ohio's Essential Documents" by Bob Fitrakis, Harvey Wasserman and Steve Rosenfeld (767 pages) - Special pre-order price: $25
This collection of news analysis, legal documents and sworn statements from suppressed and disenfranchised voters may very well tilt the balance in revealing the election fraud in Ohio during the 2004 election. Forward by Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Fritrakis is on tour see article here:

http://www.freepress.org/dispatches/2005/display/191

If you haven't been at the election forum pop in...
