Email from GOP about ELECTION FRAUD

Fraud And Intimidation

Dear Melissa,

More and more reports are emerging of the extent to which Democrats were willing to go to try to influence the 2004 election.

Well, their tactics worked in Washington State.

Our Republican candidate for Governor, Dino Rossi, actually won the election. Then he won the recount.

Then Democrat-controlled King County "found" 566 new votes just in time for the second recount, enough to overturn the results of Election Day and the first recount.

The new result? Dino Rossi "lost" by 129 votes. But consider the following facts in Washington state;

943 felons illegally voted
49 dead people voted
3 people voted in Washington and another state
2 illegal aliens voted
12 people voted multiple times
174 provisional votes were counted but later found to be cast people who had already voted or were unregistered
Also, at least another 1,600 ballots are still in question:

875 more absentee votes were cast in King County than there were absentee voters
95 more ballots in King County and 50 ballots in Whitman County were "found" after both recounts, and have never been counted
At least 660 provisional ballots were improperly counted in King County.
Dino Rossi is fighting, and voters of good conscience from across this country should stand with him. For more info on Dino Rossi and his ongoing fight, please go to www.dinorossi.com .

Sincerely,

Michael DuHaime
RNC Political Director

My question is: Do you think we could get Republicans to work on election fraud with us to demand paper ballots and that they are counted properly?

1. Wow what kind of tactic is this...
It just screams of hypocrisy. :sarcasm:

I have no doubt that some of these dirtbags must care about democracy but please.....Dino Rossi and the Washington recount?

Maybe someone should frame the whole issue. The GOP gets to have Dino Rossi back and whoever got installed into power because of fraud, if George Bush, Roy Blunt and anyone else installed because of fraud is removed from their post after the 2004 election is declared ILLEGAL.

I think that would only be fair and make sense! Remove everybody once and for all who was for certain elected by fraud. Then do a full independant investigation because I don't believe anyone sane can take anymore of the powers who got elected already.....

Lieberman my gut tells me wasn't elected. But you can't prove it without lots of images.

3. But if they are concerned enough about their politicians
not being put in office when they "think" or "say" they should be could this not be a point of common discussion? It just seems to me that if they are concerned about election reform and if they want the same things we do, reform could happen a lot faster.

5. Yes you never know, could be a compromise.....
Maybe enough of them are tired of Bush co and the Radical-Right wingers that they will trade them out, having been elected by fraud, for real republicans who had their seat stolen by fraud.

Kerry or someone else for president and fewer democrat governors/senators or wherever the fraud trail leads into. One could always propose something eh?

4. Is that thing still going on in Washington state?
My God, if Al Gore continued to contest the 2000 election into May of 2001, the Republicans would have had him put into jail.

6. I want to know where the Repugs come up with these very precise numbers.
As I remember, they were charging fraud in Washington with these same precise numbers very shortly after the election was contested. Some of the information (dead people voting, felons voting) would not be easy to get and other information (double voting in two state, illegal aliens voting) seems improbable to obtain absent a national voting database cross-linked with a citizens (or aliens) database. I don't know how people could vote multiple times if Washington has even a minimal voting security system, which I expect they do.

So are the Repugs just making these numbers up or are they accessing databases that they have no business accessing? Either way, they're still misbehaving. Why don't some Washington Democrats respond and ask them to show us the evidence for their claims, and to share their methodology for obtaining the information. If they don't, we might shame them for being congenital liars and not being "reality-based". If they do, we might be able to catch them in the process of accessing data that they have no legal right to. It might be worth pursuing.

(on edit: I am crying a little, too. The absurdity and hypocrisy astounds me, but I hope we can somehow use this situation to further our goals which are NOT partisan in essence)

9. If they REALLY REALLY REALLY believe their guy won..
They should be more than happy to jump aboard with us. (It wouldn't surprise me to find out that in certain long-time democratic strongholds that there were "problems" in the vote count.)

We are very close to being able (technologically)to remove lots of fraud from the system. They shoud be FUNDING our efforts.

10. Interesting they don't mention who the illegal felons and dead people
voted for. I heard that by far most of the illegal ballots were for Rossi.
So they could concievably be using their own criminality to contest the fairness of the election.

Nice work if you can get it.

Their leadership will say there was fraud in no uncertain terms, even if it's B.S.

12. "12 people voted multiple times " Hold on a second...
Thanks for the post Melissa

A whopping 12 peeps voted twice!
Wow, all their hoopla over 'voter fraud' and 'voter I.D.s', and all they could come up with is 12 people voting more than once in a state.
Quick...someone call James Baker.

I'm no mathematician, but I think I could extrapolate that into 600 votes nationwide... a massive problem that could be outweighed by 1 county of vote suppression in Ohio or Florida.

These Fekkers have no shame.

So, if ANYONE brings up voter fraud/voter ID in the future, be damn sure to slam them with the GOP's own number from WA.

14. Maybe we should just let them spread the word that our elections are in
trouble. Maybe then people (from both sides) would force them to do something about it.

16. Yes, this is how we give them enough rope to hang themselves...
This letter is not saying for whom all these mysterious votes were cast. This letter is therefore making the argument that we can't possibly know the true outcome of the race. This is the basis for discussing election reform: The system ensures we will get inconclusive results.

Neither the Dems nor Reps have any incentive to fix this, nor ANY track record to suggest we should expect them to. They won't. Period. It is up to us. There will be no positive change in this country as long as we citizens continue to allow ourselves to be intentionally and maliciously divided. Overcoming this tried-and-true fascist control method, beginning to unify ourselves with a single simple message, this is where the election reform movement has its opening.

Read the Voter Confidence Resolution. This makes the same argument as above, concluding two things: there is no BASIS for confidence in the results reported from U.S. federal elections; and the Consent of the Governed is not being sought. The resolution also contains an election reform platform intended to ensure conclusive results and to create a basis for confidence.

The resolution is intended for City Councils across the country. Working at this local level requires neighbor by neighbor, town by town unity. Developing this unity and restoring the franchise are the two most important things we can hope to achieve in building a new democracy on the grave of the Divided States of America.

Finally, the resolution is a template that can be modified by any group or town according to their comfort with the verbiage. What is essential to maintain are the frames described above: BASIS and Consent. The overall frame will become, as growing numbers of resolutions pass, Has the Consent of the Governed been withdrawn, YET? This creates a frame of inevitability - it is only a question of when the answer will become YES.
