Tweety did not say who his guests would but he mentioned returning to the state which played such a crucial role in Bush's election.

Assume it is a townhall forum. No mention yet on Hardball website.

2. I was just going to come here and post this news
Could the Democrat be Coleman? Frankly, I don't know who on our side is running and who would be best.

Here's an article on Coleman - I'm sure there are more:
http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050320/NEWS09/503200395/0/NEWS

Then there's the Repubs (from the above article), but the only one that concerns me is Blackwell. This man has got to become UNEMPLOYED!

The Republican primary features state Attorney General James Petro of Cuyahoga County, Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell of Hamilton County, and state Auditor Betty Montgomery of Wood County.

And from the same article these sad facts:

Republicans have controlled every statewide executive office since 1994 and have controlled the governor's office since 1990.

The GOP also dominates the state Supreme Court, holding six of the seven seats on the high court.

Time to take back Ohio - doncha think?

yesterday -- something along the lines of The election ran as smoothly as could be expected. The problems were overstated or actually made up (mistated) and did not occur as reported (Heard small blurb this morning on radio.)

JUST FOUND THIS looking for the actual quote -- I don't have speakers on my computer at work -- Sounds like the report could be juicy, though.

Secretary of State clashes with Congresspeople at hearing on Ohio's 2004 vote

ELECTION HEARING GETS HEATED
Ohio News Network
Mar 22, 2005, 10:26 AM

COLUMBUS - During a hearing that included heated exchanges, raised voices and finger-pointing, Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell told a congressional committee that Ohio's presidential election went as smoothly as possible.

Blackwell said no election system is perfect and contended many of the allegations of mismanagement were false and complaints overblown for partisan purposes.

The secretary of state testified yesterday before members of the US House Administration Committee during a special hearing at the Statehouse in Columbus.

Members of the committee peppered Blackwell with questions about provisional ballots, long voting lines and other issues.

The exchanges became heated at times, especially between the Republican Blackwell and Democratic Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Cleveland.
