ACLU, Ex-Detainees to Sue Rumsfeld Over Abuse

sorry it's not election related but I had to... I guess it's an example of what can happen when people steal elections and get too much power.

what are the chances this suit will make it to trial? what are the chances we'll be able to follow it in the mainstream press?

1. John Ashcroft Sued by CCR for Torture
Similar situation on this lawsuit brought by CCR and Maher Arar against Ashcroft, Ridge, Mueller and INS officials.

You can hunt and find info on it readily, but where's the front page headline in the U.S.?

Still, it looks like these are the first of more cases to follow. At some point, there may be too many to ignore:

Said Michael Ratner, President of CCR’s Board of Directors, “Maher Arar’s case is not an isolated one. He is but one of many victims of the Administration’s acknowledged ‘policy’ of ‘extraordinary rendition.’ This case presents the first legal challenge to this policy in an attempt to end the practice of shipping persons suspected of terrorism to other countries for interrogation under torture in order to bypass international and domestic law.”
