BradBlog.com, who has exposed the story of Clint Curtis, "vote-flipping"

WASHINGTON -- February 25 -- A group of progressive investigative bloggers has launched BlogCall, a brand new press conference call where members of the mainstream media can pose questions to newsmaking bloggers.
The first BlogCall was held on Thursday, February 24, and it featured John Aravosis of Americablog.com discussing his newsmaking work on "Gannongate."
Aravosis is a leading progressive blogger who exposed White House reporter "Jeff Gannon" as a gay prostitute whose real name is James Guckert. Aravosis discussed the latest developments in the story during the 45-minute conference call.
The press conference was webcast by RadioLeft.com, and is permanently archived at WhiteRoseSociety.org.
"Progressive bloggers are doing outstanding investigative work at a time when the mainstream media is passively watching the innumerable scandals of the Bush administration," said Bob Fertik, President of Democrats.com and founder of BlogCall.
"These under-investigated scandals include Dick Cheney's still-secret Energy Task Force, the administration's Iraq War lies, and the criminal outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame by a top White House official. BlogCall will build a bridge between progressive investigative bloggers who are investigating those important scandals and the mainstream media," Fertik said.
BlogCall will begin a regular weekly schedule on Tuesday, March 8. The next featured blogger will be Brad Friedman of BradBlog.com, who has exposed the story of Clint Curtis, the Florida computer programmer who wrote "vote-flipping" software for touchscreen machines at the request of powerful Republican Congressman Tom Feeney.
Progressive bloggers and mainstream journalists are invited to participate in BlogCall by submitting their credentials at BlogCall.org.

story went? Good to see that it's still alive.

8. I didn't count how many, but the quality of the info was excellent!
My guess is there were about a dozen participants. Among others, people from Raw Story, etc. particapated and the questions they asked, and the information they shared was "top drawer" quality.

Listen to it at the white rose link above and judge for yourself.

9. Actually, I'm told it was somewhere nearer to 40...
...than to the dozen you mentioned. But it certainly looks to be a good start!

7. Just finished listening. THIS IS EXCELLENT! We must promote this.
I just finished listening to the first conference call, and I found it to be extremely useful in many ways. The obvious is to connect the MSM more to under-reported (ignored/avoided?) stories. But it was also very informative hearing top bloggers ask questions, share insights and generally brainstorm the current topic. This is definitely a good idea.

Ironically, the "weak spot" was the lack of MSM on the call. This is understandable considering this was the first call; and, after all, the resistance of the MSM to cover these topics is what generated this program in the first place.

So we in this forum should do all we can to promote this, and especially encourage MSM participation. This is an excellent opportunity to increase awareness of election fraud/reform issues. Besides the upcoming Curtis program, they are also planning a call featuring: "Steve Freeman, the University of Pennsylvania professor who proved exit polls show the 2004 U.S. presidential election was stolen - just as exit polls proved the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election was stolen"

On my part, I plan to "dust off" the media blasters, and re-purpose them to encourage the MSM to participate in the March 8th Brad Blog/Clinton Curtis conference call. I will announce it here when it is ready.

16. Good question! He (or his rep) wasn't among those who I heard speak, but..
that doesn't mean he wasn't among the 40 that participated that Brad mentioned above. Unless he discloses it, for confidentiality purposes, I doubt we can find out.

Nevertheless, I think we should make sure he (and the rest of the MSM) know that we would like it if he is on the Clinton Curtis-related call next Tuesday, February 8th.

That's why I'm re-purposing the media blasters right now. They should be up and ready to "fire" by early tomorrow.

<I'll put up both, refocused on the Curtis teleconference, as time permits.>
