3. Go Oakland! Here is what it says today:
In big bold red theater marquee letters:

"VOTER INTIMIDATION AND DISENFRANCHISEMENT
ELECTRONIC AND COMPUTER VOTING FRAUD
ANOTHER GLORIOUS BUSH VICTORY!"

--Oakland's Grand Lake Theater Marquee

4. I wonder how long they're going to keep this theme up?!?
...talk about putting the message OUT there...
obviously there are some kindred hardcore fraudulent election believers at the Grand Lake. Makes me wonder when the stolen elections documentary will come out...if Michael Moore doesn't do it, I hope somebody else will.

thanks TUP--enjoyed the fantasy that I am in a country where people really have the right to say exactly what they think. Loud and clear.

5. A pal of mine rented a billboard.
$250 bucks for the month. Put up an anti-war piece.

Others have put up "ride a bike" messages, etc. And then it flips commercial for a few months, but it's something.

6. Great! (now it'd be on the Today Show if...
the marquee had been about what your cat did yesterday - a quirky human interest story. Defense of democracy? "Our viewers just aren't interested, and the sponsors would have my head.")
