1. I called the elections board, and they gave me an explanation.
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 04:13 PM by tasteblind
They said basically that it was a totalling problem with the original web posting on pdf, and that the larger file of the canvass was correct.

I applied the same scrutiny to the canvass report she directed me to, and it seemed to be better.

Doesn't really mean anything without a recount, though.

On edit, I think I'm thinking of Cuyahoga County, not statewide.

3. yeah, that was what I was checking out, if I recall correctly.
Like I said, it seemed fixed in the canvass report, but it's all totals on a sheet...doesn't mean a lot if you can't verify it.

4. well if it's still been left questionable
i think it's good to include it. it is in Conyers report, so i think that's enough to back it up.

5. I agree.
If someone debunks it, at least it means they're paying attention.

12. Here ya go.

In southern Perry County, Ohio two precincts reported turnouts of 124.4 and 124.0 percent of the registered voters. These impossible turnouts were nonetheless officially certified as part of the final recount by Blackwell. --

6. Faye, at the Jackson Rally in Columbus on the 3rd of January
Over 100% results were mentioned for several Ohio Counties. Check out the Columbus FreePress http://www.freepress.org/index2.php -- (here is a link about the Rally http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/2005/1076 ) maybe they have information in their articles (look through those dated January perhaps -- or e-mail Fritrakis, I think he is the one who was using those numbers in his Speech.

11. Where are you talking about; this occurred several places??
Phantom votes(vote stuffing/more votes than voters) has been documented in New Mexico, Ohio, and likely some other places. You can find documentation on the phantom votes in N. Mexico and Ohio
at www.votersunite.org

or by following threads for N. Mex. and Ohio in

14. Here ya go - New Mexico.
Presidential phantom votes were reported in 15 of the 33 {NM} counties and they appear down ticket as well. In one precinct in San Juan County 318 voters somehow managed to register 2,161 votes, 2,079 of them to incumbent county clerk Fran Hanhardt and just 82 for her opponent Glojean Todacheene.
