From Hawaii.. An example of what you can do through State & local orgs
<I have seen a umber of posts advocating State-level vote reform (absolutely needed too). Here is an example of what is being done in my home state. I think it would be beneficial if we share with each other what our local organizations are doing in regards to election reform/fraud.>

Dear Friends,

You all know how important voting is in a democracy. Don't forget that a vote is
useless if
it is not counted correctly, or if voters don't have confidence in the
system. I'm in favor of electronic voting, if and only if the electronic
voting system is at least as dependable as the existing paper
system. I've created a petition that will be sent to Hawaii
legislative leaders next week. Please sign it (electronically) and
pass it on to your friends.

If you would like to learn more, please sign the petition then check

1. voter verified paper audit trails?
I'm trying to figure it all out but my sense is hand-counted or Optiscan-counted (with certain restrictions) PAPER BALLOTS will emerge the preferred method.

2. I think they mean the voter signs it off before they turn it in
This is not my area of specialty, but I've met the guys running this and thay are high level national experts as I understand it. If you need more info, you can contact them, or Claudiajean, a very qualified expert who posts here.

4. Good question. I'll follow up and report in this forum.
Also, my answer to your profile question:

"I just wanna know why the world is so fucked up!

My answer: selfishness (or fear). When we operate from the opposite - altruism (love), things seem to go pretty well, don't they?

6. Please -- tell them BALLOTS. Must be Voter Verified Paper BALLOTS.
A "trail" has NO LEGAL DEFINITION AND NO LEGAL STANDING.

Only a BALLOT can be counted as a vote.

Only a BALLOT can be recounted.

Please -- everybody get on the same page with this -- learn this, exactly as it is here, this is important! If we ask for ANYthing else, we may be opening the door to a whole kettle of other problems, bad voting systems, and the same or worse mess than we have now.

Please -- VOTER VERIFIED PAPER BALLOTS.
