Wear black tomorrow!
Just an idea, guys, some of you said it before.

I think is the exact way to mark the opening of a very dark era in the USA. I hope NOBODY here is going to watch the circus on TV.

Looking forward to live again, one day, in democracy...

1. I wear black every day
Does that still count? Maybe I should wear white, that's my usual color for mourning.

3. wearing black not spending a dime
NOT watching tv! i am reading Les Miserables and that should keep me nicely occupied. Plus, I may go to a gathering at one of the MoveOn members houses.

I wish us all the best, those of you who are demonstrating...thank you because my friends and I can't be there.

For the rest of DU, you have kept me sane. I shall draw from your strength tomorrow. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you all too.

Peace.

5. I'm in and had been planning on wearing black, but
I didn't think about black underwear! Thanks for the reminder. :)

:grouphug:

A blue paperclip would also stand out with the black. Just a thought.

6. A sad day
In addition to not spending any money, at noon, go outside and yell "No" or "No to the Bush Agenda" or "Non" or "Nein" or "Nyet" OR anything to indicate you won't be part of the SOB's agenda.
:grr:

7. Perhaps
Orange. One could just continue to use the color to symbolize their feelings all year long -or until hunting season -actually during hunting season you wouldn't be saying anything except don't shoot me - and during hunting season you might think finally people are catching on (wishful thinking) oh well

8. Way ahead of ya.
I've had a black turtleneck and black jeans picked out since Monday. But I'm topping with a blue jacket to show that I am a citizen in "Blue America."

10. Maybe we could get David Copperfield
to drape the Statue of Liberty in a black hooded robe (he has made her totally disappear before, so this should be a cinch)! Too bad we don't have magical powers; the possibilities...the Mount Rushmore heads crying and blowing their noses...Lincoln in his Memorial Chamber closing his eyes and covering his ears...

12. I will proudly wear my DU democratic Donkey shirt
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 10:27 PM by Corey_Baker04
Its kinda sad thinking about it really, my parents promised me before the election that if Kerry were to be elected, they would make sure I was at his inaguration. As we all know that did not happen fairly or not. So I was talkin to my ex girlfriend yesterday and she is a major Bush supporter, all the more reason to hate her more, and she is going down to the inaguration today.

She started teasin me about Kerrys loss and braggin about going to DC for his inaguration and she asked me what I had from this last election. I then told her I had something she nor any other Republican had, a Visioon for a better, safer, stronger more secure America thats less dependent on foreign oil, plus a DU shirt!!!

That completely shut her up, because she knows im right. She and every other Republican know that were all right, and that will make victory in 08 seem that much more sweeter, now won't it?

Remain optimistic, the future is bright.
