CAN YOU F*CKING BELIEVE THIS? OH MY GOD! HOLY CRAP!

Ohio AG Seeks To Sanction Attorneys Over Vote Challenge

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro has asked the Ohio Supreme Court to sanction four lawyers who handled a legal challenge, later withdrawn, to last year's presidential election in Ohio.

The motion targeting Clifford Arnebeck, Robert Fitrakis, Susan Truitt and Peter Peckarsky was filed Tuesday on behalf of Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, Ohio's top elections official, said Kim Norris, spokeswoman for Petro.

The motion said the 37 protesters filed a "meritless claim" for "partisan political purposes" and said "a contest proceeding is not a toy for idle hands."

"Instead of evidence, (the lawyers) offered only theory, conjecture, hypothesis, and invective," Petro's office wrote. It said the challenge was filed "only for partisan political purposes."

Arnebeck called the motion frivolous. He said his clients "put in a great deal of evidence in the form of affidavits and sworn testimony."

He accused Blackwell of "stonewalling" and refusing to answer questions as requested in his December court filings.

10. Oh I hope you're right. I've been waiting for the EGO of one or
the other of these assholes to just take over their bodies and puff themselves right into exposure.

Mostly, if you give it enough time and the human lacks restraint of the ego, well.... it happens.

Let it be.

In order to prosecute the lawyers, they have to allow them to speak, present their evidence and how can Blackwell avoid his own trial?

12. This might sound crazy, but...
This could end up being a good thing. The AG's motion IS frivolous. Talk about partisan. I can hardly see how the court could find merit in this claim.

What they will do however is give us the opprotunity once again to bring to publics attention the evidence produced for the challenge.

16. "Meritless"? There was so much crap going on in Ohio, it can hardly...
...be called meritless! 57,000 complaints to Congress, the bulk of them from Ohio! An entire Congressional proceeding on the matter! Two, in fact!

"Only for partisan political purposes"? They're now going to reach inside Arnebeck's brain and determine what his MOTIVES are?

Besides, Arnebeck is a REPUBLICAN!

I hope they get sanctioned for asking for sanctions!

Bear in mind, though, that what we're looking at here is raw power of the ugliest kind--the kind that rips the throat out of the little guy in our so-called justice system. So don't be shocked if the jackals strike.

We should start a fund for this extremely brave and patriotic legal team NOW.

Anybody have their address handy? (I'll go find it--but if somebody's got it right there...)

52. I can see it now...
Arnebeck will file his response late, in the wrong court, and then claim that The Wizard of Rove made a cyclone that killed the Internet and prevented him from filing on time. He'll call the judge a "booger", and demand recusal because "I just called the judge a 'booger,' and he hates me now" (to quote the pleading).

He'll also request a dismissal because the dog ate his homework.

Then, Arnebeck will have lunch at a cafe' across from his law office, and William Pitt will report on every munch and crunch, as terribly important developments in the case!

Better than a soap opera, it is......stay tuned!

39. Answering my own post... yes, WE DO!
On reflection, I agree, this could be a great thing...

Perhaps we should all put the pressure on and help Mr. Petro by indeed calling out to have this "meritless claim" investigated. FULLY INVESTIGATED.

Depositions by all the "wronged parties" as to how it was so "meritless" and damaging.
(Blackwell, Rove, **)

Heh heh heh

However, all that said, there is plenty of precedent and momentum these days to bury these four patriot attorneys (and even their clients), as well as to cut off any future challenge to our "fair" election process.

So we must be VIGILANT, it's the price of Liberty.

20. Oooo. Karl Rove is ready to feed another african-american to the dogs
in order to deflect attention from WMDgate. This motion to sanction, if not nipped in the bud by the the Ohio Supreme Court, guarantees that the attorneys will be able to question Blackwell and uncover all the evidence that Blackwell and his underlings were able to hide from them. When he goes to jail, * will be there to offer him a presidential pardon, which he will, because everyone knows that * protects his own. Never mind that Blackwell's career will be ruined.

First Armstrong Williams, now Blackwell. Any african-american male who does dirty work for Bush-Cheney is a fool. They will never be considered part of the club.

21. Would this motion not backfire for Petro's cause and force
the court to then hear the original Arnebeck case before it could come to a conclusion that it was frivolous? I would call this motion of Petro's "frivolous" since it is asking the court to judge something that does not even exist.

54. A "slap down" and counter-offensive. GOOD SIGN! expect more.
At least it's a partial good sign.

The bad part first. This is obviously an attempted "slap down" to send a "message" to those who would challenge them. <Similar to what was done to the "obstructionist" Daschelle.>

The good news: THEY ARE TAKING THIS VERY SERIOUSLY! After 1/6, I was uncertain whether they would "lay low", and try to let this all "go away"; or go on the offensive. <The danger for them of going on the offensive is that they continue to draw attention to the issue - and risk more public awareness of what actually happened. Taking this into consideration, they apparently think they have no choice, and that they better try to preempt the opposition.>

So expect more of this counter-offensive type activity. The Ney hearings will take a similar approach. Even in this forum, I have noticed a sudden increase in apparent "psy-ops" types of activity (attempting to divide/distract us, etc). The attempts are clumsy and amateurish, but they are evident nonetheless. <I've always thought the "deep trolls" are overpaid no matter how little it may be. ;) Often their clumsy actions actually wind up advancing he cause - just as the Ohio AG's actions may eventually do also.

65. I'm not a lawyer
But I don't think the cover-up can last forever. This is just the guilty over-reaching. They think they can win, win, win. I believe Arnebeck and others have plenty of ammo already.
This is getting good now.

60. You're surprised?
Isn't that their MO?

If you don't like it...sue. And yet they want to put caps on Med-Mal lawsuits.

HYPOCRITES!

63. This Ohio AG suit was filed
to put Arnebeck and the other attorneys on the defensive and prevent them from proceeding with their federal lawsuit. Pure and simple. If they're wasting all their time and energy dealing with the AG's suit, they can't press their federal case.

61. Either Blackwell...
...is missing a functioning cerebral cortex OR he's emboldened because he knows for certain that evidence of fraud will never come to light.

Total dumbf*ck or crafty con artist---which is it?

62. Where is the FBI?
Not a Fed in the service that has the guts to investigate the hijacking of the vote, the linchpin of democracy. No guts - no glory.

No glory. Sorry. Despotism at its finest. All Hail, the leader!

Cowards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

73. "a contest proceeding is not a toy for idle hands."
That really is shameful- that those who care about getting the Ohio vote counted fairly and accurately are actually accused of being so unserious and frivolous as to file a suit for their own entertainment.

They really don't get it, do they?
