Myth Breakers: Facts About Electronic Elections
Today, the new, updated version of "Myth Breakers" is complete and available at VotersUnite.org

"Myth Breakers for Elections Officials" is a widely distributed document that was written to give elections officials the correct information about voting systems. "Myth Breakers" was delivered, by hand by local voters, to over 800 local elections officials across the country.

"Myth Breakers: Facts About Electronic Elections" is an up-to-date version of the original. We encourage voters to download a copy, print it off, bind it or put it in a folder and deliver it to your local or state elections officials.

7. Thanks!
I need to leave these laying around my parents house, good Democrats, but apathetic at this point.

2. Thanks John.
Hey, have you ever pondered how ironic it is having
your last name and handing documents out like this?

Is it a coincidence?

Just asking. :)

4. I never thought of that...
I would settle for just getting a copy of "Myth Breakers" into the hands of all elections officials and forego getting them into every hotel and motel room in the world.

5. Excellent!
This document is extremely well-written and documented.

I encourage people to organize locally to be sure every local decision-maker on elections gets one in their hands. Then, follow up later to see if they read it.

6. If You Give A Copy To....
your local or state elections officials, legislators, Congresspeople, Senators, or someone else let VotersUnite.ORG know who you delivered one to so we can keep track.

Part of the delivery process should be an actual face-to-face with the official, if at all possible. Make yourself known to them and get to know who they are.

Last year two wonderful women in Oklahoma made up copies and drove around the state delivering them to every county elections official. In Connecticut last year, the head of the state election directors liked "Myth Breakers" so much that he made copies for each of the members of their state organization.

10. Gideon is also the name of a famous legal case
gideon v. wainright established the right to counsel in a criminal case.

So it's doubly appropriate that a copy of mythbreakers be put everywhere (like Gideon's bibles) because it advises people of their rights (like Gideon's right of counse).

25. Please, everyone on this forum -- read this article.
In addition to lots of other useful information, it gives great background information on computer programming that laypeople need to know about all of the dangers in electronic voting and vote counting.

and printed the whole thing out --70 pages. Relevant to all the issues we've been discussing here about DREs vs VVPB.

Great job! A key resource. :toast:
