61. You know...
I don't even watch that garbage anymore. Pre-election was a bit different to watch than todays blackout of the election, but still was always getting PO'd listening.

I now look at these shows like a blog for Bush or a Repub forum talking garbage. I don't go to those web sites just as I don't listen to those shows. And I suggest we all do the same.

I know they think he is liberal, and probably he is, but for a FACT, if it suits him, he will toe their line anyways! Where were his remarkable investigative reporting skills BEFORE the war?<P>Bah, I am not voting for him either way.

Can't they get a life? Picking on a 74 year old man for trying to do his job...

I guess it makes the Re-pube-lickins feel good to scream for his head on a silver platter because he dared suggest Shrub might have been less than honest regarding his time in the Texas Air National Guard.

Yet it's totally ok for Sinclair to slander a decorated war hero who actually volunteered for his military service.

20. At least we represented ourselves, I'm sure the Yes's will be
overwhelming. His audience would mostly include that mindset of people. I'd have never noticed it but had the television on as background noise after watching Olbermann, "Scarborough" is boring, he only likes his own voice, never gives anyone with facts from the other side represent themselves, just cuts them off.

Do they want him fired with a few weeks left, so that he won't get the pension he's worked for his whole life?

Enough. The guy's been punished enough for telling the truth (eve with Rove's faulty docs).

Every time I think the Repug's have gone way too far, they go even further.

...combined with us are).

Am I crazy, or is this the rudest, most inappropriate, lowest, more disgusting piece of tripe journalism that any "reputable" news organization has ever devised--a poll by one major network on whether or not ANOTHER major network's employee should be fired???!!!

And why hold Dan Rather responsible? He's not an editor or writer or investigator. He depends on a news organization. If something is that wrong, they all should be fired, not just the guy who puts his face on TV.

It's so low and absurd, I almost didn't vote. But Rove is such a scumbag and Nazi propagandist and hit man, I couldn't help but defend a victim.

This whole thing goes back to the torture photos. CBS put them on TV. The planted fake doc was the revenge (and also intended to head off the true story of Bush's dereliction and desertion of his duty).

We tend to go along from day to day, and forget what happened last month, or yesterday. But if you think back over the last, oh, three or so years, back to 9/11, it's a scary picture, altogether. Think about it. We have "black ops" raging in our very midst, controlling our elections, hitting journalists and whole news organizations, ruining people, probably killing off a Senator or two (Wellstone, Carnahan), sending anthrax through the mail to Congressmen, busting innocent people for nothing--carrying them off into the night (that lawyer in Oregon and the Spanish fingerprint thing), arresting Guantanamo Bay chaplains, smearing them in the newspapers as having committed treason then dropping all charges...

It's hard to remember it all, to keep the dots connected...to keep present in one's mind what we're dealing with here.

This stupid poll reminded me of it.

"Your assessment of who eats first in the military may be true when it comes to eating but there is no doubt it is even more true when it comes to discipline. The privates and low-level officers definitely go down first, and the top, as you say, eat their own, and are themselves excused. How is this different from the CBS scenario? (consider Abu Ghraib . . . )"
