Giving Rove all the credit let's Bush off the hook.
Rove must be basking in the glow of the recognition of many of his dirty deeds. While he gets all the "credit," it takes all the attention away from the person really responsible, George W. Bush. Bushisms serve to "dumb" him down in our mind, and somehow all the underhanded schemes fail to sully him. We find the same thing with the ill-begotten war plans in Iraq. Bush escapes responsibility while all eyes focus on Rumsfeld.

The has been his lifetime pattern. When has he ever had to face the responsibility of his actions? When was there a time that someone, either daddy or someone influenced by daddy, didn't step up to erase the record? How many times have we read that Bush is only a puppet? Isn't it time that we place the responsiblity in the only lap it belongs and demand accountability?

1. Not to mention the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day.

2. I'm sure *ush is responsible for all of the dirty deeds.
he was on the campaign when his father ran for president and he was confronted with much of what has happened during his own campaign and "presidency". He was a scary person who used vile language and threatened people in those days, now he does it through others.
That is what he is good at. He has no ethics, morals, or ideals in terms of making a difference for the better.

3. The weed will never be off the hook!
He is the illegal prez, it's his staff, his admin, his family, his croanies, and even his handlers that have committed the atrocities, so he will always be responsible and on the hook!

Don't sweat the small stuff.

4. 100% right!
Bush is NOT dumb, he just plays that way to get away with all they do!
Sometimes I even think that his mis-statements are all bullshit as well, to make him look more like one of his gap teethed constituents. I got a George W. Bushisms calender for Christmas, and these things are funny as hell! Its hard to believe anyone could be that dense. Maybe he has a speech impediment or something, but I dont think he is dumb, he knows EXACTLY what he is doing, look how they get all the breaks! He plays dumb (or dumber than he is) so all he has to do at the debates is say his name correctly, and people say "well gee he ain't too dumb!".

I mean look at the CBS memo thing, they never denied the memos at the White house, letting CBS make fools of themselves, and coming away smelling like a rose!

How the fruk does he get away with that...? By acting stupid.. He has always done that and no one ever calls him on it.

I mean, look, _I_ think the guy has mental problems, personally. But I do think he plays up his "lovable dunce" thing..

6. I believe the same could be said about Ronald Reagan, too.
IMO, the Saturday Night Live skit on Reagan and the girl scouts was a bit too close to the truth...

But then again, I'll admit I look pretty good w/tinfoil on my head. :tinfoilhat:

7. Reagan too, for sure.
I hated it, those quips of his "There you go again", UGH! He was something of a smirker too.
