Fitrakis and Arnebeck on Laura Sanders Sunday nite
Sunday, January 2
Sundays 7pm-10pm

What, O what happened in Ohio? Next week, we'll see the first challenge of the Electoral College vote in Congress in decades. It hinges on what happened in Ohio on Election Day. We replay the riveting hour from the weekend after the election, featuring BOB FRITAKIS of FreePress.org, CLIFF ARNEBECK , attorney for Common Cause (OHIO) and The Alliance for Democracy founder and journalist RONNIE DUGGER . Then from the very next day, fresh-post election thoughts from The Nation writer  JOANN WYPIJEWSKI , MATT FOREMAN Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and Sojourners magazine Editor-in-chief JIM WALLIS , convener of Call to Renewal. We end with folk-rock legend RICHIE HAVENS , whose music is still filled with hope and heart.

5. When has there been a challenge before?
the quote says

"the first challenge of the Electoral College vote in Congress in decades."

what does "in decades" mean? I didn't know this ever happened before.

6. In the 1980's, I believe 2 votes by electoral college members challenged.
Both votes were given to candidates from outside of those electors parties, and thus the challenge on those grounds. IMO

7. Maybe they're referring to Kennedy vs Nixon in 1961?
This is the only thing I can think of from what I've read these past couple months.

Here's a great site and an easy read with the timeline:

12. I think it was 1876 Rutherford B. Hayes
Disputed electoral votes is what won him this office.
