What is the Associated Press hiding?
by hannah
Sat Jan 1st, 2005 at 00:13:42 PST

What is the Associated Press hiding?   Why has this venerable organization (recently acquired by the conglomorate that also owns the Dallas Morning News, whose owner is Chairman of the Board) refused to provide Representative John Conyers and his staff the information about the election they have requested?

Is it because they do not want it know how many other states, besides Illinois allowed them to take a direct feed from their central vote tabulating computers?

Is it because they do not want to reveal which public officials were paid for providing this "special access" to the public's records?  Or maybe that they actually got it for free?

1. The same thing that the entire media network in this country is hiding.
The fact that they are directly supporting the bush** administration take-over and hijacking of our country. The fact that they're all cowards and useless panderers to an illegal and fraudulent cabal who's only aim is to turn this country into a corporatist run state.

We are the New Soviet Union.

in a sea of information. This is a campaign to hide information, and or bore people by overloading them with political coverage.

Why do you think there were so many exit poles that showed so many confusing results? DUH! or an other coincidence?

3. They Worry About The Aftermath
They AP knows that they got it wrong. What's worse, they know that they should not have revised their exit poll numbers to align with a rigged election. I could forgive their errors but not their fraud. They now know that Kerry won and will be installed as President. When that happens, the hundreds of chits which went out to make it seem that the shrub had won will be called in. Careers will be ruined. Personal fortunes will vanish. It won't be pretty. Their best bet for the moment is to play ostrich. Come January 6, though, they may have no choice but to come clean, albeit piecemeal.

For my money, the most interesting turn of events will be if House Judiciary Chair Sensenbrenner issues a subpoena for the raw exit poll data. That would be a really seminal moment.

6. Good insights. And, yes, they've all been doing the 'running'...
....thing since late 2 Nov 2004; but we've not let them hide.

It's going to get really ugly and the briefing the Lytel and Deutsh are going to host on 5 Jan 2005 may well be when they collapse from the run and begin to be exposed for what they all are -- slovenly servants of the few instead of mighty defenders of the Constitution.

Check David's latest headline and article at:
http://www.redefeatbush.com/

"Peter Deutsch Arrives, Tom Sawyer Circles, Planets Align, Please Bring Fifes"

And, dig the cool 'wolf pack: weakness attracts those who would harm America' pic!!! I'd repost but I'd be infringing copyright, and I don't do that.

Peace.

"Its 7 Jan 2005: do you know who your president is?"

17. wonder what Harry Reid will do when he gets the letter?
"I've drafted a letter to Senator Harry Reid and will contact some of the people who could speak to him on our behalf. While we have our greater and lesser stars coming to Washington to sing a chorus on behalf of humanity on Wednesday, it would be very clever of us indeed to not give a repeat performance on the House side but see if we can get a hearing before Senator Reid and others on the Senate side on Wednesday. If that works out, you'll hear about it first here."

from the link above ....

I am dying to see where this goes. Reid has been SILENT on this and in Nevada it is said that he "controls" the state Dem Party ...and they have been SILENT on this issue. They've spent their last two monthly meetings fighting with each other over stupid procedural operation issues, not one word on voter or election fraud ....

7. Dream on
> Kerry won and will be installed as President

The violent people support Bushie, and do you think they will allow that to happen? The gun owners, police, and military support him. The peaceful progressives could never beat the guys with all of the weapons.

16. I think that I might have to agree to disagree with you on the police
and military supporting the Smirk totally and who's to say that we don't have weapons as well? Not trying to be derogatory, but I think we have weapons too.

4. Which person was it who died recently?
There was an AP person who died recently while walking a friend's dog? Who was it again? I thought the AP members were kind of secret, but I've heard about the Omaha/ES&S connection. Then a DU'er posted about the person who died. It was noted that she worked for the AP. So do we know who all works for the AP?

And why is the AP used by the news significantly more than Rueters or UPI or Howard/Scriptts?

Are there any good books out there explaining who owns what news media?

10. The dead horse in the basement.
This election is like a dead horse in your basement sooner or later the smell will get out. The AP knows that the real #s will show Kerry won going away. We need to kick the basement door open and and show the world the dead horse.

Bush & Company are war criminals and thugs. I still can see pResident Chimpy Boy
laughing as "his returns" came in.

KERRY WON GET OVER IT

14. someone posted this article in another thread
and it talks more about AP

http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/ballot_scamming.html

This direct connection between AP and the vote counting computer system explains why the Associated Press repeatedly refused to answer AFP’s questions during the summer about how they got their election results on election night.

hearing, it was apparently so negative that no newspaper printed anything about the hearings (which fortunatley CPAN aired). Howevever, when the newspapers realized that the AP piece had absolutely no basis in fact, they must have threatened to take their business elsewhere, because the AP wrote a second, more accurate piece about Ohio and the hearings the next day which got wide coverage in newspapers that use AP stories. Since then they have been careful simply to be biased by omission.

Does anyone know the name of the AP reporter who did the first story? It was someone here at DU who broke the story about the AP smear piece I believe. I have never seen the first AP story and have always wanted to.

The OWH owners own ES&S.
