FUCK UNITING
After this election, there is no way in HELL I will EVER unite with ANY Republican. Fuck that. Bush said he'd unite the country in 2000...now look at where we are...the most divided we've been in God knows how long. There really ARE two Americas.

So the only people I'm uniting with are the people RIGHT HERE, on this site...the sane people.

Screw every last person who supports this murderer. They get drafted? Tough shit, too bad...I don't give a fuck. They lose their jobs? GOOD! There's another terrorist attack? THE BLOOD IS ON THEIR HANDS!

It's time to take a stand and stop worrying what Republicans think. We have to stop worrying about SPEAKING OUT because "Oh, but...but...the REPUBLICANS will attack us!" They shove us? Well we shove them right the FUCK BACK! It's time to start getting vocal -- not later, NOW.

NEVER give an inch. Never cooperate with the bastards. Never, never, never!!!!!!!!

My Kerry/Edwards stays proudly in my front yard until the sun and wind finally destroy it. My anti-Bush bumper sticker stays until it can't be read anymore, then gets covered with another.

They have never been willing to "work with" us, so why the hell should we "work with" them?? they have made their bed of hate. Now let them lie in it.

Bush doesn't want to work WITH Democrats. Bush wants Democrats to work FOR HIM!!!!

We heard the same "compassionate" rhetoric from Bush the first time around. It never panned out.

Bush has figured out the secret to ANY situation, just lie. Lie about what you'll do. Lie about what you did. Blame it all on someone else. Then blame the blaming on someone else.

They have no problem with voicing their opinions; their self-righteousness and arrogance in every arena is appalling. I do not care whether it is a family member ( i am barely speaking to my freeper husband ), or an acquaintance, I'm not giving an inch! If somebody brings up stuff during the holidays, I'm going right back at them.

I protested against Johnson and the VietNam war; I wasn't a good soldier then and I'm not about to start now! i'm going to keep on sticking my 'bush lies' post-it notes in restroom stalls, and fitting rooms and on shopping carts and on benches...all sneaky like , but i have plenty of time and loads of post-its. Magazine articles get dropped off too.

I thought I was mad during VietNam; I am beyond furious now!

55. Well said
The Big-Government, Authoritarian Right is on the march, and behind them, they've got the delusionals, for one, and the freepers, who are also delusional, but are under the impression that they voted for "liberty," "freedom" and "small government."

The joke is most definitely on them.

But you know the real reason that I'm not going to unite? Not even because they've twisted the language, they hate science, and they're sitting around waiting to get zapped out of their clothes and whisked off to a cloud.

Not because they've traded 3,000 innocent dead bodies for 50,000 innocent dead bodies, and their nationalistic moral relativism doesn't phase them.

Not because they kicked Jesus out of the Bible, and replaced him with Mammon.

But because I remember, back before I understood what the Constitution meant, and what the Constitution protected, that maybe those "big tough" militia people, playing gun and rolling around in cammo, actually stood for freedom.

Now, they've rolled over like bitches for the Patriot Act, a theocratic government, a corpo-fascist government a man who "thinks it would be easier to be a dictator," possible voter fraud and the submission of Constitutional principle to religious nuttiness and fear.

Guess what, you freeper pigs -- "Big Brother" has a Brother, and his name is RIGHT-WING TOTALITARIANISM, and I would NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER align with such obvious PUSSIES, who succumbed, because Fake Rancher and Skull & Bones Elite Georgie Porgie promised he'd save them from the A-rabs, and that he's make sure that their fears are pacified by Mammon Jesus.

What a bunch of chickenshit, knee-knocker fuckers. They're too scared to even fucking enlist.

On principle, I can't align with such spineless dolts who fell for it so stupidly.

so many of the troops and their families are so devoted to W???? I can't IMAGINE WHY? He sends them to fight POORLY EQUIPPED in an unnecessary war and yet we're told by the media that the TROOPS OVERWHELMINGLY SUPPORT W, and that morale is good! (I heard this before the election, when I was still watching)

If I were dumped in the desert without the proper equipment, wondering who would be killed next, I would EXPRESS MY DISSATISFACTION with the situation. I would also want the direction of the Country to CHANGE. I don't get it.

Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 11:24 AM by silvershadow
Based on the same principles our country was founded on, only WE will stand up for those principles. Oh, and we could make a constitutional amendment requiring paper ballots.

On edit: Also, we need to take control of the elections process away from the parties, ALL parties. It needs to be a very transparent and tightly controlled process which allows all parties and candidates ballot access.

Here in Texas, we had advance knowledge.

Of course, lots of Texans still like him. But we can't really be sure how many, because of electronic voting here in Harris County (Houston) & many other larger metropolitan areas. No doubt he would have won the state anyway, but I suspect "padding" the popular vote for his fucking "mandate".

It's a drag when my fellow lefties act like Israel is the font of evil. Yeah, their hard-line policies have led to disturbing excesses, but let's not forget that they're trying to find safe harbor after centuries of oppression and genocide. And the Intifada isn't exactly a prideful thing.

The Repugs are just crooks and liars who are manipulating peoples' fears for their own profit and perverse sense of righteousness.

54. Never Unite
because it means becoming one of them.
Their values suck and never let them forget it.

68. You're laboring under the delusion that Democrats still matter.
Don't you get it? They stole this election (Ohio and Florida at least) and got away with it. It isn't even being challenged, not by anyone who can be heard by the general public. So they'll steal the next one, and so on, and so on. What's stopping them? They control the electoral process and they control every possible means for policing or reforming it - the Congress, the courts, the media, and the statehouses of all they key states.

So pushing back is pointless. We've got nothing to push with. But you're right, we certainly shouldn't unite. Our role now is to step back and start pointing fingers and finding fault, mocking and jeering at every misstatement, failure, or mistake. We need to get our hands well away from the levers of power, because that way when the ship runs aground it'll be clear that it wasn't our fault. If we try to play power games, either as partners or as opponents, we're just setting ourselves up to take the blame when everything goes to crap, which it will.

69. My thoughts exactly
Fuck these half-baked Jesus freaks. Just sit back and watch King anti-Midas do his thing, and try not to laugh when they come running back to the grownups to fix things.

70. YAY!!!
I'm so happy to see that there are so many SANE people out there.

I was in Massachusetts for vacation and to do some first time voting. (I made it count *wink*) And on the day of Elections I was back home in Germany, glued to the TV and hoping/praying for Kerry to win. To find out that he "lost" (still think the repubs had their sticky little fingers in this business) was like a crash and Burn situation for me.

So now, no more taking crap from the Repubs!! It's our turn. We really DO need to fight back. Make them afraid of us! I'm so tired of this disappointing attitude that we always have, times are changing and we need to change with it!

Well, I'm off.
