I have read several sentiments... "i believe kerry will be in the white house in 2005." that's great, but... where's the action.

i saw a comment re: doubting kerry is not being a part of the dem party. i guess i'm a democrat that expects more representation, not the people-fearing, out-of-touch non-action i see from the Kerry campaign. THANK GOD for 3rd parties, and for the screaming activists that would not give up on this. the dems were nowhere to be found, not until now.

that if I felt crushed on November 2 because I could still hear the desperate voices of the dems I called before the election, then Kerry must have felt the weight of the world. My campaign calls were a drop in the bucket compared to the massive amount of people that he got to know on the endless trail across America. One woman I called was so anxious to make Kerry president for her daughter who is stationed in Iraq that she wanted to know everything about her voting precinct so she could make sure her vote counted. All of November 3 I thought about her, there were so many people that I spoke with and each with a different reason for wanting Kerry in office but I kept thinking about how that Mom must have felt. I can't even imagine all the voices and stories and images that were going through Kerry's mind on November 3. I believe he understood the desperation of so many around the world. I don't believe he's given up, and neither have I.

Kerry has Inspired me to get into public service. When I graduate we are moving to Mass. so I can go to Boston University and I can't wait! My mom is pretty cool and not just because she is my mom she is just wild LOL! She will kill me when she see's this!

I believe Kerry will step right up to the plate. If the election gets turned around by whatever means, scenario, that’s another discussion. Let’s say it happens. He’s President Kerry. John Kerry is straight with the American people.

He got into politics in the first place because he wanted to help make America better, not to make a big name for himself.

In fact, deciding to go into political life meant a sacrifice for him, because he had to accept the personal attacks that go with it when you stick your neck out. He also was well aware of what had happened to John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, and Martin Luther King just a few years before.

He's smart and capable and would be a great president because he is deliberative, diplomatic, and dedicated. He's the polar opposite of Bush. He's hard-working, unselfish, caring.

I look at posts which slam Kerry as disloyal and smelling like trollery. If they are really Dems they should be supportive, not destructive. We shouldn't assume that we know everything that's going on!!

Counting the Votes is A Lot Like Making Chicken Soup

You start with the stock. You chop up a lot of vegetables (in our case miscellaneous anomolies, the statistcis on exit polling data versus real data, the investigation by computer hackers on how the system could have been rigged, the individuals who had to stand in long lines in minority neighborhoods, etc.). You put these vegetables (information) in one big pot. And you boil it -- you keep the heat on high (in our case, the energy and enthusiasm to get at the truth and reporting it on the internet.)

Then you turn the heat down and let it simmer. (In our case, you ponder the information. Let others chime in and analyze it.)

Then you throw out the vegetables! You toss out the information that is not panning out. You are left with the stock -- a distilled version and composite of everything you've got.

Then you put the stock (the distilled information) back on the stove and stoke it. That's the activity we've seen the past week. New vegetables are added -- the affidavits, the election count obstruction, the software guy from Triad adjusting the system, etc. Now you've gotta turn the heat back down and watch it all simmer. The fire is still on. And the soup is definitely cooking.

My point is...do not discourage if the energy seems to dim around Christmas. Don't worry. We are about to taste the soup. Season it. And enjoy our feast come the 6th of January.

When this campaign began I wanted badly to beat Bush i didnt care who the candidate to do it was. than as time progressed I really fell in love (not in a gay way) with John kerry. I am 15 so my dad took me to a rally in dayton and I was so xcited and wanted kerry to win so badly.

then election day 2004 came and boom, I am not a religous person to say the least, but I remember waiting for the results of Ohio sitting on the edge of my bed praying for kerry to win. I dont mean to lose faith but I think 2004 is come and gone and we should look to the future and be optimistic that we will have our day of celebration alot sooner than we all may think.

all the threads about how I need counseling for continuing to think that looking into election fraud is wrong. I always stop at this thread before I read others, I had no idea so many people felt giving up before the 6th was such a great idea.

I BELIEVE that unless we challenge the direction our elections have been taking, we might as well start giving up Nov 1st, or Oct 15th. What is so wrong about having a verifiable paper ballot? What is so wrong with having enough polling places in highly Democratic districts? What is wrong about questioning why people had to stand in line for eight hours, in highly Democratic districts?

If we don't question those things now, and beyond January, we may as well give up long before election day.
