1. The race becomes irrelevant when he drops to the ground a foot from
the finish line!

7. You are dead right. Folks are shellshocked around here and want to make
nice. They are in total denial.

3. Amen! He really held is own against those monsters. Very dignified.
Too bad they cheated, fought dirty and whatnot. Would have been wonderful to have him and Teresa in our WH.

6. Kerry
What was so sad about the Kerry concession speech is it gave us a glimpse of what might have been. What a gentleman. He would have been a fantastic President and statesman.

10. I'll join you in the blessing
He came farther than we dared hope, given the mass media's sellout to the neo-cons.

There are things we don't know. Senator Kerry may get to the bottom of them now that the election is out of the way.

We gave * a run for the money. He'll be more winded a little way down the road. My hunch.

God Bless You, John and John and Families

12. John Kerry should be Proud!
I'll gladly follow him anywhere. We may have not won it this time, but we're going to win the mid-terms and take back the House and Senate. Kerry will be getting out the vote for us. What a man.

13. Yes, and also bless John Edwards, their Wives and
Family Members who actively helped out with the campaign. Kerry's daughters are intelligent and dignified.

We are blessed to have such quality people run on our behalf.

14. Amen and a kick
The first stage of grief is denial and the second is anger. We're seeing a lot of that anger out here on DU. It makes me sad.

Thank you for a positive post.

17. What I always wonder is what do they know that you do not know.
There was one sentence in his speech that said something to the effect that something was going to happen sooner than you think and he gave that sentence extra emphasis. I wonder what he meant.

15. Absolutely
It kills me to see such worthy citizens treated as they have been. I thank them for their fight, their dignity and the fact that they just couldn't stoop quite as low as necessary to beat those assholes. Maybe I would have liked to see them fight longer but if they dedicated themselves to finding out how we were scammed, making sure all the votes are counted now so we all have the unvarnished truth, I'll feel like I placed my trust, my sweat and my tears in the right people.

God bless both Johns, their families and their dedicated warriors.

16. Amen.
He's campaigned nonstop for a long, long time now. And being as tired as I'm sure he was after the primaries, he took the Rove machine head on and came out strong. He may not have won, but he did a great job. I'm grateful to him for giving so much of himself for his country. (And this goes ditto to John Edwards, both of their families, and everyone working hard for them both.)

And he's still the junior senator from Massachusetts, right?
