Are we ever going to have an "Angry Mob"
Edited on Sun Dec-12-04 02:57 PM by Must_B_Free
like Bush did in 2000? Maybe it's only good when they do it?

Are we going to bang on doors and stop the certification, like they stopped the recount.

8. My guess is they think they won't need to reinstate the draft
The jobless, homeless, and desperate will join (at least that's what they are thinking.

9. The problem is the size of this country
I am in California and don't have the income to travel anywhere. If you ask me, an angry mob should be protesting on Ken Blackwell's doorstep in Ohio. Everyday. He has now broken the law, and still the media refuse to report it. He is smug because he can get away with anything.

I had been wondering about something along these lines. That is, if this year goes the way that 2000 did: ending up in the SCOTUS. What, as citizens, are we prepared to do to demonstrate that the SCOTUS,one of the 3 branches, is NOT who we want picking the leader of one of the other 2 branches. Especially since that branch they are picking just so happens to be who does the picking of THEIR members (talk about a fucking conflict of interest).

Here's what we should do if it ends up in the SCOTUS hands again.
First, we MUST assemble on the steps of the SCOTUS, strongly. At least 50-100k a minimum. Second, we erect a gallows right in front. Third, we "gently" remind the court via megaphone, how the power structure works in America. See, they seem to forget their Enlightenment political theory of social contract. Nowadays(post-feudalism), power flows UP from the peoplem, not down from the leaders.

We let the SCOTUS know that if not for their interference in 2000, we would have had a different president, and perhaps had steered a different course as a nation (sans the imperialism). We make them understand that if they interfere with another recount, we will demonstrate another good old American tradition, the angry lynch mob.

If FDR could scare them into changing by just threatening to dilute their numbers, imagine what threatening to end their life will do.

P.S. I am not advocating threatening them to rule our way, it would sicken me just as much if they threw out the votes and make Kerry president. The bottom line is, the votes will all be counted, and no motherfucker is getting in the way, robe or not.
