More votes than voters in Ohio - absentee votes inflated
Edited on Fri Dec-10-04 08:40 AM by BR_Parkway
actually copied from an earlier post that sank early last night:

There was an inflated difference in nearly every precinct of the five communities examined. The five communities whose poll books were carefully inspected for an absentee vote overcount are: Warren City (313), Howland Township (137), Newton Falls City (34), Girard City (57), and Cortland Township (40).

The 106 precincts of these five Ohio communities, about 39% of all precincts in Trumbull County, netted a total of 581 absentee votes for which there were no absentee voters identified in the poll books.

When there are more votes than voters, there is a big problem stated Dr. Werner Lange, author of this study which would have been completed weeks earlier if Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, co-chair of the Ohio Bush-Cheney campaign, had not unlawfully ordered all 88 boards of elections to prevent public inspection of poll books until after certification of the vote.

The absentee vote inflation rate for these five communities averages 5.5 fradulent voters per precinct. If this pattern of inflated absentee votes holds for all of Ohios 11,366 precincts, then there were some 62,513 absentee votes in Ohio up for grabs in the last election. Who grabbed them and how they did so should be the subject of an immediate congressional investigation.

3. More votes than registered voters?
That's a good trick. Can you spell FRAUD.

They did the same thing if FL and I'm sure all over the country.

My SOE to me that the REPS were very interested in absentee ballots and the inactive voter lists. This is how the REPS got over 100% turn out in the key battleground states.

8. I've been saying as much since the election.
Repubs out did themselves. I don't believe that everyone who double voted did it with malice intent. I sincerely believe that there were so many Repub get-out-the vote efforts that one didn't know what the other was doing. Where one group might have liberally sent out absentee ballots from one county, even to people who were inactive, the other would have called on election day to tell Republican voters that in their present county their wasn't any record that they had voted at all.

Therefore, an innocent person who didn't realize that the absentee ballot that he had mailed was going to an old county, might go and vote again. Never realizing that he voted twice.

7. These were absentee, sent out before the election
to people who were already registered. And think back to the number of reports of people who got an absentee ballot when they didn't request one.

So, I want to make sure I win the election. Go down to my local Bd of elections, get a list of all the "inactive" voters, request an absentee ballot, fill it out for my candidate and send it in. Those would be noted on the official poll books - so how come more absentee ballots counted then are recorded?

When did they purge the inactives from the roles. Any way to compare the list of purged (and the felon list in FL) to the name/address of the folks who requested the absentees? We weren't supposed to notice these things, Shrubs mandate meant we would "know" he really won, with no cheating involved.

10. Yeah, this seems like a possible answer.
If you have to be registered to get a local absentee ballot, how is it that you can't be verified as being registered? Having the rolls purged after the ballots are mailed is one thing to check.

Anybody know how federal absentee ballots work? Or what other types of absentee ballots there are?

Too strange.

11. They threw out the provisional ballots cast by people
not registered.

But this article implies they're counting absentee ballots from people not registered (or claiming to be that person).

9. Sigh...
Yet more evidence. More evidence emerges every single bloody damn day. And still the bastards are getting away with murder. I don't think they'll ever be dislodged from power.

I think this is how they did it -- I mean, 70+% turnout with 95%+ voter registration in Warren Co. Come on -- let's look at the poll books

15. kick. This one is damaging. I emailed Werner.

He encouraged people in other Ohio counties to do the same
thing he did in Trumbell. Of course, that is if you can actually get your hands on the poll books given Blackwell's goose-stepping...

Personally, I really wonder whether this news article was the primary reason for the Greene public records lockout.

16. Whoa!
"Conclusion:

If this pattern of overcounting absentee votes is a statewide one, then tens of thousands of phoney absentee votes were up for grabs in Ohio. Who grabbed them and how they got them should be a subject of an immediate congressional investigation."

Presumably this has gotten to Conyers and Arnebeck!

18. excellent post -- I am an absentee overseas voters (CA) --
Edited on Sun Dec-12-04 01:38 AM by senegal1
from overseas there are two types of absentee voters and ballots -- one is when you are registered with your county precinct and they send you the regular absentee ballot -- this will look no different than the normal one -- it is just sent to your absentee address in this case overseas or in Ohio or whatever state. The second overseas ballot for absentee voting is one which can be used only for the presidential race and is generally filled out by US Citizens who either want to vote and possibly are not registered or who are registered but have not received their absentee ballots in time. These ballots looks different from the printed ones for the state. There was some discussion right after Nov 3rd about more absentee ballots than voters in certain precincts (can't remember which state) and that that was why some precincts in X state were showing more votes than voters. The state involved attempted to explain the matter by saying that they just "assigned" absentee ballots across counties -- that they are not attributed to specific counties. I thought that might be a reasonable explanation however on reflection and asking around it the ballots cast by US citizens who have not received their absentee ballots and are cast only for President --I believe now these ballots have to be put into a specific precinct and these people still have to be registered somewhere specific in the state. Finally the third absentee ballot is the one cast by folks in the same state.
