Ohio election fraud uproar blasting to new level

The bitter battle over the stolen November 2 election in Ohio has turned into a rapidly escalating all-out multi-front war with the outcome of the real presidential vote count increasingly in doubt.<snip>

In addition, new evidence has continued to surface of widespread voter fraud throughout the state. Among other things, a response from Shelby County election officials has confirmed that the county illegally discarded key tabulations from the November 2 vote count. As this county's response is the first of 88 to come from Freedom of Information Act filings, it seems likely evidence of many more illegalities could follow.<snip>

And it gets better (or worse): The reason they cited for pitching the best raw evidence of voting results was to "...save space and avoid confusion..." with the certified results. (And yes, Dear Readers, this is a BLATANT violation of Ohio's Public Records law, which requires the retention of election records for two years)

In other words, the supposition is that the actual Nov 2nd results differed from what was certified by Blackwell!

Hey guys...I'm from Ohio and I'd like to "move-on"...but from what? Every freekin' day this grimy melodrama continues to unravel and its just getting worse and worse.

work to do --

If you look at some of the fights we've had in court here and there, and the difficulty we're having now ("oh, it's not possible to have a 100% accurate vote," or "no voting method is perfect," etc.), you finally "get it" that our state legislators, possibly our federal level legislators, and our judges up and down the heirarchy just do NOT support our right to vote, and the seriousness of our vote.

We have to change that. one of the first things we must change are our state laws, because there are loopholes and the penalties for vote suppression, intentional vote spoilage, and plain ole vote fraud are TOO LENIENT. It's probably also too hard to prove.

The other thing we need, STAT!, is a Right to Vote Constitutional Amendment. Jesse Jackson wrote about it here -- definitely worth reading:

Shelby County had the largest Democratic percentage loss and the largest Republican percentage gain from the 2000 election of all counties in Ohio. Of course, with only 22,854 votes cast... Regardless, it makes you wonder.

Recanvassing the Ohio voters and get people to sign affidavits could prove that the vote was stolen. COuld be done in parallel with the recount.

If the Republicans are so confident in their mandate and believe in democracy, I'd think they'd want to assure that the right person was elected. Let's rerun Ohio and "winner take all".

I really think we're at the point where phone records need to be subpoenaed, as well as e-mails, and if they think they can "erase" those e-mails, they need to think again. The code in the machines may be proprietary, but there must be a way to trace the lines of communications between who ordered the dirty business and who carried it out.

They've been covering their dirty tracks, left and right. I'm willing to bet there are mistakes to be found that the perpetrators don't even realize they've made.

I am not sure how it works in Ohio, but wouldn't the partisan Dem precinct observers have copies or notations of the tallies taken from each machine on election night? I have been to several Dem. State headquarters on election night and their is always a precinct committeeman or ward chairman running around with the results from their area to show the candidates that they were able to get out the vote. Wouldn't these people know what the precinct results on election night were? Aren't their several people, including partisan observers, that have to sign these machine tapes on election night?
