ALERT: Madsen story strong/incomplete, WE HAVE AFFIDAVIT

Hey DUers:

Sources in contact with us have been pressing Madsen to hold the story about proposed election fraud in Florida, but he refused to do so and went with the story before we were able to vet all the angles. We have mainstream press in Washington interested in the story, and are waiting for comment from the House Judiciary Committee.

Unfortunately, Madsen's preemptive strike may destroy the credibility of the story because he does not have a good reputation with mainstream media, regardless of what you or I may think about him.

We have one affidavit but are waiting for the updated signed affidavit from Washington (which Madsen does not have). We hope to be able to present as full a story as possible by midafternoon in concert with http://bradblog.com.

I tend to regard things with a grain of salt. I just think one should have the facts before they report on a story without rushing it and thereby potentially diluting the gravity with which it is taken.

I can't speak for his contacts, but there was some concern over the Saudi/Enron check story and the "we're going to attack Iran before the election" (which we didn't).

I don't know how credible this guy is either, but he says they were planning to attack Iran, and changed their minds.

According to a notarized affidavit signed by Clint Curtis, while he was employed by the NASA Kennedy Space Center contractor, Yang Enterprises, Inc., during 2000, Feeney solicited him to write a program to "control the vote." At the time, Curtis was of the opinion that the program was to be used for preventing fraud in the in the 2002 election in Palm Beach County, Florida. His mind was changed, however, when the true intentions of Feeney became clear: the computer program was going to be used to suppress the Democratic vote in counties with large Democratic registrations.

See previous: Saudi/Enron story, and "we're going to attack Iran before the election" story. I don't know too much about him personally; I do know that the sources in Washington had serious concerns and had been hoping to hold the story until Congressional Dems had a chance to issue a response -- coming from Congressmen versus coming from Wayne or Raw Story would (in my mind) have been a better place to start.

He actually explained in a radio interview why the Iran attack did not move forward..he seems very good at explaining what he gets wrong......

According to White House and Washington Beltway insiders, the Bush administration, worried that it could lose the presidential election to Senator John F. Kerry, has initiated plans to launch a military strike on Iran's top Islamic leadership, its nuclear reactor at Bushehr on the Persian Gulf, and key nuclear targets throughout the country, including the main underground research site at Natanz in central Iran and another in Isfahan. Targets of the planned U.S. attack reportedly include mosques in Tehran, Qom, and Isfahan known by the U.S. to headquarter Iran's top mullahs.

The Iran attack plan was reportedly drawn up after internal polling indicated that if the Bush administration launched a so-called anti-terrorist attack on Iran some two weeks before the election, Bush would be assured of a landslide win against Kerry. Reports of a pre-emptive strike on Iran come amid concerns by a number of political observers that the Bush administration would concoct an "October Surprise" to influence the outcome of the presidential election.

According to White House sources, the USS John F. Kennedy was deployed to the Arabian Sea to coordinate the attack on Iran. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld discussed the Kennedy's role in the planned attack on Iran when he visited the ship in the Arabian Sea on October 9. Rumsfeld and defense ministers of U.S. coalition partners, including those of Albania, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Iraq, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mongolia, Poland, Qatar, Romania, and Ukraine briefly discussed a very "top level" view of potential dual-track military operations in Iran and Iraq in a special "war room" set up on board the aircraft carrier. America's primary ally in Iraq, the United Kingdom, did not attend the planning session because it reportedly disagrees with a military strike on Iran. London also suspects the U.S. wants to move British troops from Basra in southern Iraq to the Baghdad area to help put down an expected surge in Sh'ia violence in Sadr City and other Sh'ia areas in central Iraq when the U.S. attacks Iran as well as clear the way for a U.S. military strike across the Iraqi-Iranian border aimed at securing the huge Iranian oil installations in Abadan. U.S. allies South Korea, Australia, Kuwait, Jordan, Italy, Netherlands, and Japan were also left out of the USS John F. Kennedy planning discussions because of their reported opposition to any strike on Iran.

In addition, Israel has been supplied by the United States with 500 "bunker buster" bombs. According to White House sources, the Israeli Air Force will attack Iran's nuclear facility at Bushehr with the U.S. bunker busters.The joint U.S.-Israeli pre-emptive military move against Iran reportedly was crafted by the same neo-conservative grouping in the Pentagon and Vice President Dick Cheney's office that engineered the invasion of Iraq.

If this hits the MSM this week and Madsen has all his ducks in a a row, the lid will be blown. This will be way bigger than Woodward & Bernstein. I hope his credibility isn't destroyed by releasing this too early. I've been a little skeptical myself, but this last article is starting to make me a believer. Maybe KO will take some notice now and rethink his stance.

From what I can tell, Madsen is pretty much on, but he doesn't have the affidavit. Bottom line is that there was hope the story could have come from Congress rather than Madsen which would have given it more weight; from here, no one knows what will happen. We also have the word of one programmer against the word of a Republican Congressman (now on the Judiciary Committee) and former running mate of Jeb Bush.

It's possible that this story will shake some additional information loose, and/or encourage others to come forward. If others take on the story, then there would be way more investigating than Madsen can do by himself.

...air. Feeney's certainly been alerted. And that guy seems absolutely ruthless. In researching this, notice how many fires he's walked through, and he's still standing. Feeney has a lot of money and power. It wouldn't be hard for him to quash anyone's sources. It happens all the time. And that's the story of the Bush administration.

Madsen shouldn't have tipped his hand. He had the advantage.

34. I see your point, but also see Madsen's point about getting it out there,

because how do we know what Congress will do with it? Even our dedicated Congressmen like Conyers...What power do they have, really.

Also by Madsen getting it out it takes off some of the spin of MSM saying "House Democrats annonce yadda, yadda..." The minute "House Democrats" comes up the MSM jump on it and say Kerry is behind it all.

So...I do see reasons. If Madsen's story is full of holes, it's better for it to come down on Madsen's head than Conyers...also allows time for more info to come to light by putting all that he has out there. He may get more leads by doing this.

But, I do see the downside to that also. :shrug:

I like what Madsen reports, but his articles often do sound rushed and headlong...with background filler used to spackle the cracks. While some of his links sound strong and intriguing, He implies too many links that are not strong at all...or just not yet. (A couple come off like some of the weaker rounds of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.")

Let's just hope that other affidavit comes through.

30. To be fair, I think you mischaracterize his statements...

First off, he doesn't say it's a "rumored check." He basically says that he now believes the check was a forgery and was given to him as a clue about the money trail.

Second, he didn't use "extremely certain language that he had a direct link," as you say. Here are the direct quotes about the check from previous reports.

Article 1:
"According to informed sources in Washington and Houston, the Bush campaign spent some $29 million to pay polling place operatives around the country to rig the election for Bush. The operatives were posing as Homeland Security and FBI agents but were actually technicians familiar with Diebold, Sequoia, ES&S, Triad, Unilect, and Danaher Controls voting machines. These technicians reportedly hacked the systems to skew the results in favor of Bush."

Article 2:
"This reporter has obtained a copy of a bank check for $29,600,000 that was allegedly sent to cover the cost of the Texas-based vote rigging operation. The check is dated October 22, 2004, and was made payable to "Five Star Investment Ltd.," a trust said to have long connections to Saudi-funded operations in Texas and around the world. The payer is identified as "Equity Financial Trust," a Houston-based "brass plate" and post office box entity tied to offshore Cook Islands "folding tent" accounts used to hide away profits amassed by the former Enron as well as Saudi financiers."

Article 3:
"Kevin Russell, a Nassau, Bahamas-based attorney representing Five Star Investments, Ltd., which maintains an office in Nassau and is the corporate entity that received a bank check for $29.6 million that was allegedly associated with paying vote rigging technicians, claims the check has not yet been cleared for payment."

...and a legitimate beef that you can have with him is that he seems to report information quickly before he's nailed everything down. His reports are more like works in progress.

At the same time, this issue is very time sensitive, and I can see the preference to get an incomplete report out there now, rather than a complete one months from now.

I'm so irritated with the context of the original message as it couldn't be more off the mark in my opinion. It is obvious Madsen is doing everything he needs to and has sensitive timelines, and I am 100% on his side how he's handling this. He is one of our best chances right now. I will say though you, Jamboi, have earned my respect through all of this as the key 'mediator', and I will not Trust or pay attention to ANYBODY else trying to link themselves somehow to Madsen or act like an authority on it other then YOU.

I would love this story to be true, though Madsen clearly puts out a lot of stuff that isn't very reputable.

But he is naming names here and Tom Feeney seems to be the guy who is behind the vote-rigging program.

I frankly don't understand how he could be making all this stuff up. There's got to be something big here.

If the story is true and it is not currently being investigated by law enforcement, the chances of finding real proof when such an investigation is started will be diminished. I can hear the shredders as we speak. I'm afraid they will murder, lie and destroy anything that will actually implicate the Bush Dynasty. Why would he let all this loose and give them time to prepare?

And he can't do much about the evidence that is coming out at this point, it's having a snowball effect. I highly recommend reading this. It sounds more credible than anything I've read so far. It will be fascinating to see how Conyers and others react to this. If this is legit, the case has been cracked.

I do not fault having Madsen release the story now. It would be nice to have Dem congressmen on board and to have MSM support out the gate. But clearly there are gaps in the story that must be filled before it reaches that point. Putting the story out there now gives Madsen a chance to "shake the tree" and fill gaps and to correct holes. He is dealing with a very slippery subject where deception can be a clue or disinformation. Most MSM reporters are not brave enough to face such challenges. People should not expect him to be 100% correct or outright dismiss if he gets something wrong. I think his piece is honest--his investigation is a work in progress. If the soul of his investigation has merit, it has merit.
