Thousands Protest Against IR Laws.
Workers are gathering in their thousands around the country for union-organised mass protests against the Federal Government's industrial relations laws.

There are about 40,000 in Sydney and Melbourne each, in spite of employer threats against workers,
so this is heartening. Of course the Coalition are saying that lower numbers than at previous
rallies are a sign that people are over it, but the threat of losing your job is all too real for
many.

1. I was there at the Adelaide one!
When I caught the bus home, there was this mean old guy bitching because he had to wait a few minutes longer, because the North Terrace/King William St intersection was blocked! Grrr! I hate selfish people!
