NGOs FUNDING CUT
Canadian aid agencies are hoping someone will come to their aid.

Every year, Canada dedicates four billion dollars to foreign aid. Some of that money goes to non-governmental agencies, which get most of their funding from the Canadian International Development Agency, or CIDA.

But CIDA has put a freeze on funding. And key NGOs, like the Canadian Council for International Cooperation, are wondering why.

Gerry Barr is the President and CEO of the Canadian Council for International Co-operation. We reached him at his office in Ottawa.
