Emerson meets with protester
One of the De-elect Emerson protesters was granted a one-on-one meeting with embattled Tory MP David Emerson on Friday.

Manuel Pereda, arrested during a sit-in at Emerson's office Feb. 24, met with Emerson, asking him to recognize his floor-crossing behaviour had implications to constituents in his Kingsway riding.

"I asked that he acknowledges in writing that his constituents were justified in their anger towards him," Pereda said. "He promised that he's going to get back to me in writing one way or another by May 15th."

Pereda wants the government to address electoral accountability in the accountability bill.
