Milwaukee and Madison DUers
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 05:01 PM by PeaceNikki
Please tell me turn out was as ridiculously high as reported elsewhere and as I saw and heard in Waukesha.

I am on pins and needles; stomach churning. We know Milwaukee and Madison win elections - please tell me that things look good.

1. I went around 3:00 pm. in waukesha. There was a steady flow.... When I came in
the polling women asked me if a bus pulled up? I hope you don't mind be posting this, as it is also a Waukesha observation, but I'm also curious about the time/pop coralation.....

2. I went at 11:00 in Waukesha County
And was #727 in a town with about 9000 people. Sadly, the community I am in is VERY red so I don't know if that's good or bad. Ya know?

Post away, I am looking to commiserate/celebrate with all of my WI DU friends. :)

3. I was out canvassing for 8 hours today
They sent me to McFarlane (pop 6000) and Stoughton (pop 12000). Most of the people on my list weren't home. But every person who was home said they were voting or had voted already.

I drove over 100 miles today and saw maybe 5 Ron Johnson signs. Saw tons of signs for Feingold even in these small suburbs, which pleasantly surprised me.

GOTV said they got through all their lit drops, calls, and lists by 4pm and were sending people out on blind door knocks for more votes.

Dane County Clerk just said on ABC that 40% have already voted and he expects that 60-70% will vote. This is very good for us. Dane County loves Russ Feingold.

6. Slightly busier than normal at 5:30 pm at the Wilmar
I had to wait about 5 minutes. I usually don't have to wait at all if I vote after work.
