GOP Bailing on Nethercutt
National GOP group cancels $1 million in Nethercutt ads
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2002056318_nethercutt07m.html

"Sen. George Allen, R-Va., who chairs the committee, has repeatedly called Nethercutt, a Spokane congressman, a strong candidate and has campaigned on his behalf.

But several recent polls have shown Democratic Sen. Patty Murray maintaining a lead of from 7 to 19 percentage points over Nethercutt"

Couldn't have happened to a nicer flip flopper...

1. Good.
I've already seen way too many of his shitty commercials.

I hope Murray trounces that asshole hard.

2. Her ads are excellent smackdowns. The right wing too extreme meme needs
more national play IMO.

3. I agree
Gregoire needs some better ads against Rossi.

The guy scares me. I see his signs EVERYWHERE.

He's weak on abortion here in Washington and we haven't really hit him hard enough on that issue yet.

4. I'd never vote for Rossi
but I've only heard his ads -- none for Gregoire. I'll hold my nose and vote for her.

I will never forgive her for being the lead lawyer against equal pay for equal work for women - she was working for that bastard Slade Gorton at the time. I've always thought of her as gop-light.

Rossi ads tell us that he is for small business -- I don't watch tv so I don't know what sort of ads Gregoire is running.

Rossi signs are all over in Rural WA areas -- none at all for her.

But then most rural areas in WA are the gop stronghold. The "Get US out of the UN" signs are re-appearing in rural areas. There was one along I-5 South for years.

This is a strange state -- must be the long winters and short days during the winters. Oh -- and the endless rain and lack of sunshine. Perhaps lack of Vit. D -- leads to bi-polar -- as is political bi-polar -- right wing nuts (running Craswell for Gov -- a few years back) and then we have Jay Inslee (one of the good guys)!!!!!!!!!!!

5. And
There was also a sign saying "Public Libraries: A Great Place For Our Children to Meet Sexual Perverts" on I-5 South, but I think that just represented one crazy guy rather than the population as a whole.

Rossi lives in my neighborhood. I once saw him buying prepackaged bacon, sausage, and ham (and NOTHING ELSE) at QFC late one night. How nasty is that?
