Some Photos From our Trip to Texas
The Princess and I were in and around Hillsboro last week. Here's a little bit of what we saw:

* * * * * * *

A sign in Lake Whitney State Park that The Princess and I thought was funny. If you need a sign to tell you what a lake is, there's no hope for you:

Another Sign in Lake Whitney State Park that made us laugh:

A sign outside Milford, TX:

The Court House in Waxahatchie, TX. Texas is loaded with beautiful old court houses like this:

1. Hey! I have been to Milford!
My best friend from middle school's father lived there, and I went with her to visit him on his ranch. Ihtink he is probably one of the old grouches they mention!LOL

3. Hey, why didn't you stop by?
I live about seven miles from Waxahachie, out in the country there. I actually live in Midlothian. It's a nice area for rolling hills. Nothing like what you have in Colorado though.

6. I Live Outside Pueblo
Nothing but flat, dry prairie. The mountains are at least 50 miles away - otherwise, it looks like Kansas.

8. Do you drive a red honda?
Just curious, we had the pleasure of running into what had to be a fellow DU'er between Denver and Pueblo on our road trip for Christmas. We had a DU bumper sticker on the back of our rental Cad.

I've seen lots of fog and never needed a sign to tell me the lake was dead ahead.

Any lake, was dead ahead. Been to most of them.

16. Well, I was thinking about something a couple of folks
who were part of Dean's Perfect Storm told me. It seems one night they almost drove into a frozen lake because they weren't from those parts and didn't realize where the road they were on ended.

18. road just dead ends in the lake..yes we do have fog in North
Texas. I have driven through some killer fogs up here and I can see some half hungover hunter/fisherman/camper getting disoriented and rolling right into the lake.

not totally out of the realm of possibility

17. Love those old Texas Courthouses and town squares
and the one on Waxahachie is especially beautiful

Fort Worth still has one of those old courthouses; ours is red granite
