Opposition expressed to city’s takeover of Sebastopol

More neoconservative destroying TPWD and our country. Put all the TPWD money in the GAO black hole so BB can pay no taxes.

SEGUIN - Maintaining state management of Sebastopol House State Historic Site was favored by several of those who offered comments Thursday in a public meeting on the fate of Sebastopol.

Kevin Good, special assistant to the director of state parks, conducted the meeting held in the basement offices at Sebastopol.

Good said the meeting was called to receive public comments on the proposed transfer of Sebastopol from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to the city of Seguin.

TPWD and the city have worked out a proposed agreement on the transfer that will be considered by the City Council at its meeting Aug. 16 and by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission at its meeting Aug. 25.

If both the council and the commission approve the transfer, it will go into effect Sept. 1.
