The Iowa Republican Partys State Central Committee spent a couple of tense hours today debating which presidential candidates or possible candidates should get their names printed on the ballot for the partys Straw Poll in Ames.

The partys chairman had to cast tie-breaking votes as the committee decided against putting the names of Texas Governor Rick Perry or former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on the ballot. State Central Committee member David Chung of Cedar Rapids was on the winning side of the argument.

1. I kind of wish Perry had been put on the ballot.
I want to see exactly what we're up against with Perry.

2. He has a lot of experince
wrecking the state, budget, jobs, education system, etc, and cooking the books.
We don't need no stinking education.
More fuzzy math His running platform 5 billion surplus disappeared and turned to 27billion deficit after reelection. smoke and mirrors from the Reich wing.

3. Living here in Texas, I know EXACTLY what kind of "experience" he has.
If he was added to the straw poll ballot, I'd have an idea of how many idjits thought that kind of "experience" was just what the country needed.

4. He's going to jump in no matter what
It's all about the money and he's going to get money from the king makers in the repuke party.

While Governor Perry, Governor Palin may at some point declare their candidacy, they havent, Chung said during an interview with Radio Iowa. They may join the race later. They may do well and I wish them well, but they didnt make the cut for our Straw Poll ballot.
