Tarrant County Democratic Women meeting today...excellent turnout

This group is fired up.

Our county chairman came by to report on the town hall in Denton and to give us a heads up on Smokey Joe's next town hall in Arlington so we can have a large presence there. His report on Denton was at a minimum disturbing.

All you Tarrant County Democratic Women ...next meeting is Sept 12 at Chandra's Mediterranean cafe 11 am.

I've been to a couple of the Arlington/Mansfield Democratic Women meetings and men were there too. :)

7. we had about 45 people, 10 new members joined that day. Total membership

close to 100 now.

11. It's going great

I really like it there. The project I'm on is pretty interesting. I have to say, everyone that works there is just super nice! I mean really nice! Everyone's been so helpful and just great really. My boss is great too, I love him a little more every day. It's the "thank you" and "you're doing a great job" that I just rarely received at my old job.

Plus, I think the previous admin assistant was okay and they were fine with her (she got a degree and found a job in the IT dept, so she's still with the company), I'm just a lot more efficient and helpful than she was (from what I've heard).

And on a political note someone from Congressman Marchant's office is coming Friday for a little tour and presentation on what's going on here. I heard today at a meeting it's some young 21-year old military liaison for his office I believe. There was a lot of laughing around the conference room when he said "21-year old."

It's just a bit of getting used to working for a such a large corporation vs like the dealership, but the benefits are fantastic and the people are just so great. I'm really happy their so far. :)

I hope to see you on the 20th. I get off work at 5:15ish, so I'll definitely be there to at least frown at Barton the whole time. :)
