Fort Bend county (former DeLay land) - they're at it again re extending 99
Posted mostly for fellow residents - they are having another go at ramming this thing down our throats. Posting an email from stoptoll:

UPDATE: http://www.fortbendnow.com/2009/02/26/35982

The key to section C and the push is coming from Houston development
companies/investors/backers that contribute to some of our local elected officials wanting
access to the lands in C, in and around the George Ranch (possibly including parts of GR).
See who sits on the board of this foundation and you better understand what is going on.
The plan is for two toll roads to meet (GP and FB Toll rd.).

"Two of Fort Bend's five Commissioners Court members (Meyers and Morrison - non-EDC
backed commissioners) have expressed unhappiness with the process that has led to the
county judges' meeting, and the seeming inevitability of development of the county's
portion of the Grand Parkway as a tollway." FBN

-Apparently major decisions will be made on this segment within 2 weeks and not 20
years as Judge Hebert had stated in recent past reports.

Contact Paterson, Prestage and Hebert and tell them you do not want their project! Hebert
also represents this area. Is he working for the development companies who contribute to
his elections or the electorate and taxpayers who voted him into office?
