Check your voter registration - do it now!

I'll bet you know someone in Texas who isn't registered to vote.

And unless they register by tomorrow, they won't be able to participate in this historic election.

If you want four more years of the Bush-McCain policies that devastated our economy, ignore this message.

But if you're ready for change, forward this email to everyone you know.

Tell your friends, family, and neighbors to register to vote today. They can check their registration status at VoteForChange.com

No one can afford to sit this one out.

Make your voice heard -- and make sure everyone you know can cast their vote for the change we need.

Thanks,

Joe Biden

1. I am so paranoid that
I've checked mine and my husband's five times this weekend alone, even though we've never missed an election since we moved here in 1999.

2. Don't trust them not to suppress the vote
It's better to be prepared and re-register if you have been purged.

4. Just because you're paranoid ...
Ah you know how it goes. Since 2000, all of us have been elevated to an all time level of acceptable paranoia - because the other side has been trying to get us.

And to at least eliminate some of your fear - make sure you vote early. Early voting runs Oct 20th - Oct 31st in Texas.

Good luck to us all!

You might have to try a county web site. Each individual county will have a sample ballot in their respective counties.

The Secretary of State provides a generic list of candidates which are federal and state offices
www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/candidates/general/2008gensbs.shtml

To see a sample ballot for your county, you need to contact your county or the election clerk in your county.
Here is the list of county election officials provided by the Secretary of State's office:
www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/county.shtml

I wish the SOS site linked the counties websites too but they don't. You'll have to google yours. Travis for example has this page
Sample Ballots-Tuesday, November 4 2008-Presidential & Local Elections

Here is the general voter information page with other good links like an FAQ, early voting and another place to check your registration in Texas at the SOS website.
