(Know a fence-sitter that needs to be knocked off the fence? Know a moderate Republican that needs a wake-up call? Know an old-school conservative that didn't 'get the Memo' titled; "Yo, your party has been HIJACKED!" These provocative films will do wonders for a cloudy mind.)
Take Back Democracy Film Festival of DallasIndependent Film and Video for Independent Thinkers
Originally conceived by Joan Sekler, (co-producer of the film "Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election"), the Take Back Democracy Film Festival is a collection of shorts and features seeking to educate Americans on political, social and economic issues critical to our future as a free and democratic nation. Loosely organized as a nationwide grassroots project in over a dozen cities, the festival serves as an organizing tool to encourage people to vote and become active in the growing movement to recapture democracy in the United States. These films will be screened during a two-day festival slated for Thursday, October 14, 3pm - 10pm and Friday, October 15, 3pm -10pm at Richland College, in Sabine Hall, Rm 103.
