What does BAR say about Vinsen & Elkins and Enron?
From BAR’s web site:

Barbara Ann Radnofsky is a well-known Houston attorney with 25 years of experience at Vinson & Elkins, LLP (V&E), a pre-eminent firm founded in 1917 during the Texas oil boom and World War I. The firm flourished as the United States emerged as a superpower and Houston as the energy capital of the world. V&E provided the resources of an excellent learning environment for Barbara Ann to develop quickly as a young trial lawyer.

From yahoo news:

Enron Corp. said that its longtime outside law firm, Vinson & Elkins, had agreed to pay it $30 million to settle claims that it took part in the fraud at the collapsed energy company.
Vinson & Elkins will also waive its claims against the Enron estate for $3.9 million in legal fees.

Under the terms of the settlement, Vinson & Elkins did not admit any fault or liability.

1. I have questions
Was BAR an employee of the firm or a partner in the firm?

Did she do any legal work for Enron?

Who is pushing this story and why?

Does this compare to the attack on Hillary and her law firm?

Just askin'.

3. Partner, no work for Enron, yo no se
I worked for V&E a bazillion years ago. 10.5 stories in a downtown Houston high rise + offices in Austin, Washington DC and London way back then. Since then I know they've added more offices. There are partners and senior partners and I'm pretty sure she wasn't a senior partner.

Moreover, V&E was not the only firm that Enron contracted for services. One of the deals that I worked upon that fell apart at the last minute earned Andrews & Kurth close to 2 million dollars in legal fees. I worked for Enron twice. The first time was pre Jeff Skilling and the second was in the legal department of the division of the company that made Enron fall when nothing I worked on seemed tangible. The lawyers with souls seemed to start jumping ship about two years before Enron collapsed by either moving to the pipeline or oil and gas side of Enron or leaving Enron all together. I left about a year and a half before they fell. Will never forget calling my friends to tell them to divest their portfolios when Skilling left b/c he wanted to spend time with is family. Bullshit. He was known as the iceman there and spending time with his family was hardly anything he'd ever been known to complain about.

I have no idea who is pushing the story about BAR but she did not do work for Enron. However, I am familiar with a group of people who detest the elite that does not like her. The LaRouchites could also be another source of the story. BAR is definitely a success story but far from what I'd consider an elitist.

2. This is not over.
The Feds are looking at the individual attorneys who were involved. They should get their asses kicked and go to jail.

Barbara was a trial lawyer, not a commercial lawyer or whatever they call it. It is a big firm. But I would also like to hear what she has to say.

They should at the very least fire the attorneys involved.
