Homecoming update - i'm almost there - help me out

Ms. Ashling started her state job yesterday and has got us an apartment in Austin down off 2222 and 360.

Abby (daughter Ashling) and I will be driving down as soon as possible after she gets back from the DNC in Boston.

I am sooooo glad to be coming home. As soon as I get there I'm headed for Barton Springs. (well, pretty soon after I get there)

However, I need help from you guys.

These Democrats in Thurston County Washington are a pretty good bunch
and I wouldn't have made it my 3 years here without them. I have gotten many of them to send money to Richard Morrison.

If there is one reaon that I would stay here for a while, it is to work for my good friend Joel Staloch for State Representative.

Joel is a great guy who works - and is taking classes at - Evergreen State College in Olympia. He is a member of AFSCME (Washington Federation of State Employees 443) and served on the political action committee with that local (Ms. Ashling was the chair). He was an active Dean Supporter.

He is running for State Representative in Washington Legislative District 20 against a Republican who has been unnopposed for too long. Additionally, the guy Joel is taking on is the obstuctionist Republicanleader. (Hissssss!)

Joel is a great guy and will make a great candidate and Representative. He is the kind of guy we want to have in politics.

Please send him some money if you can spare it. I am sure that even one check from Texas would be a great help and a great inspiration for Joel. (Be sure and highlite or cirle TEXAS on your check) Send it to:

today. I am still packing boxes (Arghhh!) I am going to start moving stuff we don't need right away into a storeage unit which I can come back for later.

5. Please include Gary R. Page, Dem Candidate for 24th Congressional

District. He is running against Kenny Marchant, DeLay's right hand man in the redistricting fiasco. The 24th was drawn specifically for Marchant to win. Gary needs all the help he can get. He is getting absolutely no media coverage and the Dallas Morning News, several weeks ago, published an article saying Marchant was sure to win because there was no other viable candidates running against him.
