Texas is #1 again (Not a good thing mind you)
Power Plants Top Canada-U.S. Air Polluters, Watchdog Says
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/environment_nafta_pollution_dc
"Overall, Texas was the top polluter in 2001, followed by Ohio, Michigan and Ontario, the commission said. Together, the four reported 28 percent of total releases and transfers of toxic chemicals for the year."
-----------------
And of course the policies that bu$h established in Texas have become national policy, so now the whole country sucks environmentally right along with us.

A pox on your lungs you evil bastard!

3. I've been buried in work and play
But I'm coming up for air now, just in time for this weekend's training session for the convention. Are you going to the Huston-Tillotson training session this Saturday NoPasaran?

See ya there or see ya in Houston.

Sonia

4. The only good news on this front is this
The newest commissioner on the TCEQ, Larry R. Soward, is supposedly an upstanding guy. A man with a real conscious. A rare thing in a repuke appointee. Maybe now with two moderate board members things can finally swing back to some environmental equality rather than being held hostage to the polluting industries.

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) which we phonetically call "toxic" formerly known as "train wreck" (TNRCC) has never done a damn thing to make polluters pay for their sins. It's still a cruel joke to even have this agency.
